Hi guy!

first of all do you guys think it’s right time to buy a mustang or the prices are still high?

secondly would you guys recommend the 2015-2017 mustang GT or 2018-2022 GT? Why? What are your thoughts on the 6speed auto and 10speed auto?

FYI I found a convertible 2017 California special with 10k Mike’s on it, the guy is selling it for 37k. Is that a fair price?? Or one can get the facelift for that price?

The 2015-2017 definitely has the better looking front end, but that’s not to say that the 2018+ is bad looking, it still looks excellent. The Gen 3 Coyote put it over the edge for me, it just wants to rev. Can’t go wrong though.

No doubt the 2017 front end is better looking!!!

What about holding their value over time?

Having owned both, I like the look of the 2018+ a little better but they’re both good looking. The Gen 3 coyote is awesome and as mentioned above it just wants to go. I’m only a week in on my 2022, but the A10 is pretty solid. Just takes some getting used to as the shifts are a lot smoother and less pronounced that the 6 speed auto. Prices are what they are and while they’ve come down some I don’t see a big price drop coming until supply catches up. Demand is still high for these cars and there just isn’t enough new supply to curb prices on used cars. My $0.02.

The +18 for the more rev happy Gen3 Coyote, louder stock exhaust, and beast of a 10-speed. Only get the 15-17 if you're really attached to the 1st gen look.

I initially wanted a 16 or 17, but I gave my 19 a chance and the front fascia really grew on me. Definitely better in person than photos.

Never got over the 18+ jowls, and the headlights are better on the 15-17 but I’d say ANY GT kept clean will always be worth a bit of change for sure.

The 18 plus looks very different with various trims. I think the mach1 and bullit are the best looking modern mustangs (yes including the 24 dark horse and the preface lift s550). Both are stunning coupes. For verts gt/cs first then the eb pp or coastal. The gt500 and 350 are gorgeous as well.

It would be much better if it wasn’t made out of glass. :)
At least the aftermarket is figuring out how to make it less glass now ;)

I would agree though, an FBO NA car is going to be a lot better with a 10 speed. But a 6R80 car will be better if you're going the boost route. I also personally just don't like automatics that are constantly shifting.

Imagine if they just made a fairly bulletproof 8spd? Best of both worlds.

The 6R80 with my Power Pack had the best downshifts in sport mode. What a great trans.
