Ours came in the mail this week and I must say it's much nicer than I expected. I expected it to be flimsy that would only last me a few years but the walls this unit are thicccc so I expect it to last a while. I should to be changing the oil within a couple week at 15k which is only 1000 miles away and I'll report back to how well it works but so far I'm very pleased with what showed up.

I too was surprised on how sturdy this funnel was.

Man, I thought when I got rid of my F-150 truck with the 3.5EB the days of ultra messy oil changes were gone, but guess not, huh? Just have 200 miles on the Bullitt, but will change the oil around 1K, to install a magnetic Ronin valve, and put M1 0/30 oil. Guess we need that funnel, huh? And no discount for forum members? Ha ha. J/K. I have a moldable funnel that I used with the truck, so will try it first. Also hope I can use my plier-type oil filter wrench. Need to look for a video, since I couldn't find anything on this board.
You should have plenty of room for an oil filter wrench. I haven’t made a video. I need to work on that. I hope these pics will do for now.

Just received a yellow one yesterday, ordered last Thursday. Great quality, very pleased with the product and saves a bunch of time from having to tape together a makeshift cardboard funnel.

You know, I'll buy that damn funnel, just to reward that creative dude. Ha ha. Glad to see there's a lot of space to remove the oil filter with my pliers; thanks. So how many panels do we have to remove to do an oil change? Two? Just curious. Need to check if my Rhino ramps clear the front spoiler without having to use 2x6s before the ramps. Thx.

On 5.0 pp1 motor you open a panel door. You don't actually remove panels.

Yes. I'm going to change the oil on mine probably tomorrow. I got under the car, and it's a little plastic 'door', held with just one 7mm screw. It's right behind the front belly pan on Bullitts/PP1 cars.

Completely forgot about that funnel. Ha ha. I'd have bought it, since now I know my car is the same. Oh well. Will use a flexible (green) one I have, which should do the job equally well, I hope.

EDIT: I'm actually just going to punch a hole on the oil filter, and let it completely drain before I drain the sump (while the oil cools off a little). Hopefully that will eliminate any messes, and also the need of any funnels. Hope it works :). Read about that idea on a different thread on this forum.

I made myself one out of some stock plastic from home depot, and it "kinda" works, but this is brilliant. I can't believe I didn't see this before.

Sell the design to Motorcraft and make tons of money.

In the mean time I wanna be on the list of people to get one, and yes, you need to be compensated big time.

Nice work.

...and I have one! Purchased it via the ebay merchant site after a quick PM convo with the OP, and it showed up yesterday.

This is a '17, and it didn't start life as a PP car. I had to add the K-member underneath that resulted in needing the proper panels, so I get to see how well this works given the circumstances.

Really bad timing on my part. I changed my oil yesterday and made quite a mess with the filter. Didn't see this until today and ordered 1 from ebay.

Brilliant!

This is the tool I didn’t know I wanted until I saw it here. Just bought one!

I love the ingenuity of this and support it!

I remember changing my oil filter for the first time 3k miles ago and thinking...this isn’t the worst spot in the world but...
