my short 7mile commute to work on the highway nets me about 30mpg, 29.5 today due to slower traffic and rain, in my GT with 3.55, cruise set to 60mph

Hmm..interesting...at the 3:45 mark...

I wonder what would happen if you put an EB air dam on a normal GT. (Obviously the GTPP Air damn is different).

Would that EB curve in the damn make the fuel economy better in the GT?

so I've been driving my ecoboost manual with 3.31 for about a month now and have a little over 1800 miles on it. Average since I've had the car is 25 mpg, which is 90% stop and go city traffic (I live in downtown Chicago), 10% highway. Over thanksgiving, I set the cruise control at 80 on my way to my parents house in Michigan and averaged 31.9 mpg. I was really hoping for 32, but I'm more than happy with my mpg so far :ford:

Also, this is all with 93 octane gas (except the first tank in the car from the dealer).

Okay, my first mpg entry for my GT Premium 6-speed with 3:31 rear, 420 miles on car, using 93 octane gas, in general around-town mixed driving. Miles driven divided by number of gallons = 14.98 mpg.
I'm hoping to get it up to 19-20 around town when broken in — doesn't look real promising, but boy do I look good driving it!

421 to the tank?! or did you not reset it? Im guessing you didnt reset it since your MPG is low
When I picked up the car from the dealer, it had 140 miles on it and read 11 MPG. I decided to see how much it would go up before I reset it. Took a week (I got the car a week ago today) to get up to 13.5 MPG. Today I reset it while traveling on the highway to work. Now it reads 25.3 MPG.

Nothing like the Texas flat lands for gas mileage.

East TX not so flat. West TX, yes, but if you hit a headwind in West TX, you'll feel it.
It wasnt that flat coming from fort worth to El paso... It was pretty damn hilly and some mountains.. well, almost mountains...lol there were some considerable grades all the way to the border patrol checkpoint

From El Paso to Midland-Odessa is fairly flat, but go further north and take 287-to-I40 from Wichita Falls to the NM border. Been caught in multiple dust storms out that way.

ETA: we gotta meet up somewhere on 380. I want to see your car.
