  1. Traded my EcoBoost for a GT...

Just the stock tires that come on the base premium wheels for the ecoboost and the stock tires that come on the 19" dark stainless aluminum wheels for the GT. I believe they're both pirelli P Zero Nero all-season tires. The EB wasn't tuned. I don't know for sure, but I was thinking maybe the...
  2. Traded my EcoBoost for a GT...

I've also just made the switch from the ecoboost to the GT. I loved my ecoboost, but I just couldn't handle the lack of sound and the way it died off so quickly at higher rpms. The GT isn't much faster 0-60, at least I haven't been able to get more than .3 seconds faster using the track apps...
  3. Post your MPG's

so I've been driving my ecoboost manual with 3.31 for about a month now and have a little over 1800 miles on it. Average since I've had the car is 25 mpg, which is 90% stop and go city traffic (I live in downtown Chicago), 10% highway. Over thanksgiving, I set the cruise control at 80 on my way...
  4. I4 or GT

I went through the same thing as you when I was trying to decide between the GT and the ecoboost. I would recommend test driving them both before deciding. Obivously the eco won't be as fast as the GT or sound anywhere near as good, but it is plenty quick and has more than enough power to roast...
  5. Fastest stock GT from 0 to 60..Man or Auto

It would be nice if we could just have some people time these in their cars. We could debate this endlessly and no ones mind would change. Now if we have a few cars time it, then we can see who is really right. I'm thinking on average the auto will be faster, but that the manual will have the...
  6. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

Gotcha, it'll be nice once they finally release pricing and we all find out we were way off and wasted all this time guessing at the price. I'm intentionally being pessimistic about price for two reasons. First, I'm hoping it's over $50k because if it's under that, IDK if I'll be able to resist...
  7. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

I'll almost guarantee the track pack and tech pack will be more than that. The premium pack (tech pack) on the ecoboost/GT is $4k, so I would expect it to be that on this as well. I'm assuming the recaros will be an extra charge too, add another $1600 there. And the performance pack will be at...
  8. GT350 Weight?

It's called Dragon Ball Z (or Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball GT). It was a really popular cartoon like 15 years ago.
  9. GT350 Weight?

As a HUGE fan of this show, I have no clue what your point was. It's over 9000 is the only thing that came to mind, but that certainly doesnt apply to the weight of the car. Curious, what was your point?
  10. HOLY SH*T Ford Racing Sport/ Touring Catback Exhaust Video

No one expects it to sound like a V8. They just want a better exhaust than the stock and so far these are the best.
  11. New Shelby GT350 Mustang Revealed! 5.2L Flat Plane Crank V8, 500+HP / 400 LB-FT

Yes, but the test is normalized to set the average at 100. So to say the average IQ score is 80 is not only incorrect, but it also shows that you don't understand what an IQ score is. This is the case with most people and it's one of my pet-peeves, hence my calling it out. That along with people...
  12. New Shelby GT350 Mustang Revealed! 5.2L Flat Plane Crank V8, 500+HP / 400 LB-FT

You do realize that IQ scores have a bell curve applied to them so that the average is always 100, right? :headbonk:
  13. Am I making the wrong decision? STI to GT

Also, I dont mean that as a knock on the STI because the STI is a GREAT car. It just goes to show how truly great the mustang is.
  14. Am I making the wrong decision? STI to GT

That's because for the most part it is the best overall car in it's price range when you consider performance, quality, and aesthetics. From what I've seen on here, people are pretty open when it can be proven that cars are better or faster, it's when people say things that are completely...
  15. New Shelby GT350 Mustang Revealed! 5.2L Flat Plane Crank V8, 500+HP / 400 LB-FT

Even if it were possible, it would be silly to do that. I get wanting to adopt some of the looks of a car because you like the looks of it, but badging it and copying every detail is going too far. I would never throw GT badges on my ecoboost to make it look like a GT.
  16. New Shelby GT350 Mustang Revealed! 5.2L Flat Plane Crank V8, 500+HP / 400 LB-FT

Only problem with that thinking is the weight hasn't been announced. I am willing to bet that this car weighs about 200 lbs less than the GT though, maybe more.
  17. Oil change

If they put any special additives in it to help with break in, it could hurt changing it too early. Although I'm reaching there because I have no idea if they do that.
  18. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

I'm gonna guess around $55k base. Then maybe $3k for the tech package and another $3k for the track package (maybe higher for this one depending what's included).
  19. MMR releases its "BIG TUBE" Cold Air Intake system for 2015 Mustang Ecoboost 2.3

It would be nice then to see what a tune with and without the CAI gives to see how much better it is than stock.
  20. How Much Can You Modify a Leased Mustang?

Only problem with this is they can tell that the ECU has been flashed and see how many times. This could cause an issue, but I haven't tried it with a lease so I can't say for sure.
