Where did you get the "new tune"? Will FPR automatically issue the latest tune when the power pack is installed? Or did you have to request it?

Ultimately, the question is "How can I be sure that I'm getting the new tune without the rev hang?" (Version numbers?)

I have been holding off purchasing until a fix for the rev hang was available. If this new tune is widely available and adequately addresses the problems, perhaps it is time to warm up the credit card....

No I been badgering them for quite some time. I called multiple times and did the online chat. This whole thread was created as a tool for all of us to quantify data to FP.

Once you register and install you will be in their system by VIN. At the moment the updated tune is not widely available, it's in beta testing stage.

I have been told that it will be available at some time but others have been told differently.

There's still no official word on the release of the beta tune. In the other PP2 thread I had stated that my interaction was a positive "Yes, this will be released to the gen. public"
but other members have gotten the opposite response. As soon as anyone of us has confirmation we'll of course let everyone know.

As for ordering, I've read that they're on backorder again. I'm sure that'll get worked out in a month or so though

2morrow, next time you talk to them (I assume that as a beta tester you will be giving them feedback at some point), be sure to let them know there are a bunch of us waiting for that updated tune. Of course if they are sold out ...again... then maybe they aren't too worried about sales. Or perhaps they are having a supplier issue.

I don't gave the PP2, but my 2016 GT PP has huge rev-hang. That said, it seems to hang around where it would need to be if I was accelerating through the gears aggressively.

Are you in sport mode when it happens? If so, it's probably launch control.

My stock '16 GT M6 will "rev hang" very briefly just as you release the throttle (less than a second), barely noticeable, unless you are used to managing traffic position by engine braking on the old cable throttle systems. This is the "rev-hang" that people with the PP2 are complaining about. On the PP2 tune, it is rumored that upon releasing the throttle the engine RPM holds for a longer duration than it did on the stock tune. I can barely accept the duration of stock tune "rev-hang" by adjusting following distance and anticipating, although many times I still have to tap the brakes to make up for the deceleration delay of the stock "rev-hang".

There is another "rev-hang" designed into the system that I think you are referring to. If you push in the clutch and wait the engine rpm will drop down and hold at the appropriate RPM for the vehicle's speed in next higher gear. It will hold RPM there for a couple of seconds before dropping all the way to idle. It is kind of a nice feature for making smooth complete shifts before accelerating in the next gear (no slipping clutch disc to minimize wear). However, it is a little slow to spin down and unless you are being quite casual with your upshifts it doesn't help (doesn't hurt either). If you time your upshifts with it, the engine RPM and vehicle speed will be perfectly matched automatically and you can release the clutch pedal quicker and still have a smooth transition (no backlash).

As far as I can tell, it doesn't work if you blip the throttle. Say for example: you push in the clutch, down shift, blip the throttle above the required RPM for the lower gear... It will not "hang" at the appropriate RPM for that gear. For that level of RPM matching you'll need to do it yourself or get that other car that has rev-matching.

Did you get an EO sticker? The only sticker that came with my kit was the 91 octane sticker.

I had my installed at AutoNation Ford in Torrance so far so good. No complaints. The following weekend I drove my car down to San Diego. I think it drives better than stock.

How much did Autonation Ford in Torrance charge for the PP2 install? I'm considering purchasing PP2 and looking for a dealer to install it

I was quoted $477.00 from AN Torrance and I spoke to a guy by the name of Mario. Told me he's personally done quite a few installs already and asked that I ask for him when I decide to pull the trigger on the install.

Just threw up my Yes (Manual) vote for the PP2. I have no rev-hang or pinging. I'm in SoCal, and use only Chevron 91. I've also got the FP Oil Separator installed. Only issue I had with Tune was first attempt did not load, second was successful and she runs like a beast. I believe I'm on the original Tune as well, so hoping if a revised Tune comes out she'll get even better.
