I don't carry a full size pistol anywhere. Compact frames for me. And, honestly, the older I get the less I like the larger calibers anyway. But that's another discussion.
To answer your question I'll either have it sit atop the drivers seatbelt buckle or I tuck it between the passenger seat and center console. I've debated trying to figure out a mounted type of thing for it but haven't seen any that I like.

Behind the passenger seat in the pouch, whatever it’s called.

I would hesitate on relying on a magnetic mount. A minor fender bender can send the weapon flying, and then it is out of your control.
Personally, when I carry, it is on me and secure. Every day I read the reports of weapons stolen from vehicles.
There are a couple of companies that make lock boxes for vehicles that also secure to the vehicle.

On my body…always. A weapon out of immediate reach is a useless tool.

Think of it this way, if you’re at a red light minding your business and someone points a gun at your head telling you to get out, do you think they’re gonna wait for you to find your weapon and engage the threat? Or would you rather have the opportunity to create space and still have your weapon on you should you need to engage?

Here’s an excellent video of some prior Navy Seals going through drawing and shooting drills based on the weapon storage location. When your life is at stake every second matters!

When at work and in my work Explorer, on my hip, generally. When not at work and in my personal vehicles, IWB appendix carry.

You can't sensibly draw on someone who's already pointing a gun at you but I understand the principle of what you're getting at. A gun not on your person is easily stripped from you in pretty much any ambush

Correct, however I’d rather have my car stolen and be safe knowing my weapon won’t be used against someone else if I leave with it on my body. And there’s more than one example of threats being mitigated even when they appear to have the upper hand.

Oh I agree with you, if it's on your person, at least you have a chance to turn the situation around once the aggressor takes their attention off you

I’ve been tempted to use the manual booklet space in the glovebox and coloring the tab black. Non mustang owners tend to not notice it.

Everyone thinks they're going to be billy badass in a gun fight.

Truth is, If you're minding your own buisness at a light, and someone points a gun at you and tells you to get out, its already over and you've lost. The first line of self defense is being aware of you're surroundings and you just failed.
