I’m looking for a set of good performance all season tires and narrowed it down to these two based on cost and reviews. Let me know if you have them on your Mustangs and your opinion. I’ll be pulling the trigger on one set in the next 30 days so any assistance you can give me which could push me over the edge for one,or the other would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

AS4 has much better dry performance. Continental just released the DWS06 PLUS, but I haven't seen reviews yet. AS4 is better in every way compared to the old DWS06 though.

I saw the plus as well, but yes no reviews because it’s new. Definitely helps. Hopefully more people will respond as well. 🙂👍

I can't comment on the AS4's but I have the DWS06's and they definitely have less grip than the stock PS4S's but they've been great in winter conditions here in KC. They also have much less road noise. I have a set of SVE 19x10's that I will put some PS4S's on for the summer.

Put on Conti after wearing out a set of PS4's. They are loud, bite well but a very weak sidewall. After a WOT start and letting off at 70-80 mph the rear of the car would squirm
back and forth. Found them to be a waste of money. Sold them and back to AS4's.
Much better all around tire!

Do you mean you had PS4's, or AS4's to begin with? Just clarifying because that's a bit confusing.

If you don't plan to drive your car in light snow then the AS4's would probably give you better performance. I've driven my car in snowy and icy roads with no problem with the Conti's. They are much better in slippery conditions than the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2's I had on my 15 despite being bigger and wider than the Hankook's. They also held their tire pressure very well in the extreme cold we just had.

Just put on the A/S 4 tires, bought from Costco. $723 installed including tax. They replaced OE GY F1 asym. A/S. Stock 235/50/18 sizes.
Not enough miles to provide a good analysis but in the city they are quiet and have a firm ride.
I'll post more as the miles increase.

I love my AS4 tires had them put on last September. It was able to handle snow covered roads pretty well although not as good as the x ice 3s i have.

Depending on how much snow you get each year, might be worth having 2 sets, winter & summer. I run Blizzak WS90's in the winter and Conti Extreme Contact Sports in the warmer months and love them both. Discount Tire had good rebates on both at the time I bought them, so they won't break the bank either.

The test did not include the Continental DWS06 PLUS, but they might do that soon.

I am not in the market for new tires yet, but I would want 285/35R19 and the Pilot Sport AS4 does not come in that size. For 19x10 rims.

Do you think Michelin will eventually produce that size? The old Pilot Sport AS 3+ came in that size.

The ps4s did not come in a lot of sizes at launch, they added more later. I would not be surpised if they did the same for the AS4.

I just put on Conti Extreme Contact DWS06's in 255/40R19. Max inflation number is 51psi. But the Extreme Contact Sports (275/35R20) that came on my Roush say the same 51 max. But the recommendation on the sticker inside the driver side door says 33 psi which is what I've been running them at. Can you tell me where you are running your DSW's? Many Thanks!
