Hello - I have a brand new Mach 1 that I just brought home the other day. After I got home I was noticing that the rear decklid panel between the taillights does not quite line up in the corner by the tail light (surprise, right?). I pushed on it a bit with my thumb enough to realize that it wasn't going to move back into alignment, but afterward due to whatever duct accumulated on the ride from the dealer, there are some ultra fine scratches in what turns out to be the piano black plastic (not painted)panel.
Curious how are folks dealing with a) removing fine scratches from the panel, and b) protecting the super easy to scratch panel from future scratches, as there is really no good place to grab when closing the decklid. Has anyone PPF'd around the logo on this panel?
I know it's kind of OCD, but well, you know...
Thanks in advance

I side with @ice445, I tried keeping it up with some plastic polish that I had from keeping my British soft top windows clear, then gave up.

As far as how to close the lid without fingerprints, install a truck pull down strap. You can source straps from Amazon instead of Hyundai and you don't have to use a nut and bolt removing the trunk liner like in this thread. A properly sized plastic push pin through the trunk liner works well over and through the strap hole also.

Edit: I found the thread I based mine on. Post 36 is how I did it.

PPF or ceramic coat is your best bet for keeping away scratches and swirls.......or never touch it.
