Im looking for a phone mount that will sit on the vent in the photo, I've seen some on amazon but they don't look like they fold to get the right angle. I've seen someone mount their phone here on a different post but cant seem to find it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Looks like that one slides onto the slats in the vent. I don't know if I'd trust it on the AC vent with a weighty cell phone. Those things are flimsy as it is.

I can't get that one to work in that spot, really tried. I also would like a solution for that spot. Anyone have a 3D printer? D

I do have a 3d printer and am looking to make some parts to fit that location.

I am starting the models of a gauge pod, and will now look at an iphone mount.

Would be interested in seeing what you come up with.

I used a schoche magic mount (the one with the double sided tape on the bottom) and placed it directly in front of that vent...holds my iphone 7 plus during the hardest accelerations a stock PP can put out and the phone is easily removed when getting out of the car. Highly recommend it.

I just leave it on there. Works for me.

This is what I do: My suction cup windshield mount's phone-gripper component disintegrated, so I simply re-purposed the flex cable to push down on my phone while it sits in the dash slats/grill. The phone has a soft case which imparts enough friction to not slide.
