I'm with all the guys saying why do you need one?? My phone stays in my pocket or in the pocket right under the toggle switches, if it needs to charge, which is rare. I use a wireless CP dongle that's in the center console. CP has worked flawless for me, and there is nothing important enough to where I need to look at my phone while driving.
My phone is there for maps and directions. Two of my 3 vehicles don't have navigation. The one that does I don't like. In the Mustang I could run Android Auto. The others are not capable. Unfortunately I really, really dislike AA. So, my infotainment system does what Ford programed it to do and my phone provides navigation. I find it far less distracting this way than trying to move through different screens on one device.

I find it funny that some seem to almost get offended that someone uses their phones differently than them. :giggle:
right? I thought the post is about recommendations for phone mounts, not whether you need one or not.

sounds like the same debate on whether you should drive your stang in the winter or not haha

And some apps like RideGPS which event coordinators use doesn't work on AA or ACP, so you have to use the phone to follow the route provided by the event coordinator. I don't always hook my phone up but it is nice have a good mount for when you want to. The Course Motorsports is the cleanest and best mount out there IMO. I wish I found it before I bought the Proclip for the Bullitt. I just bought one of the Course Motorsports for the MACH 1 and it is the cleanest solution I have seen. While you have the radio surround pulled off, you can route the USB power cable behind it and have it come out the left side to go into the power outlet for a clean install with no wire exposed.
