What is "unique chassis tuning"? How do you tune a chassis? You can tune a piano but you can't tune a fish.
Spring rates, shock dampening, sway bar sizes....all of that is part of tuning a chassis.

Thanks for the replies and observations regarding the PP. More then likely, I'll pass on the PP as I want as comfortable a ride as possible. (I'll still test drive both.) I'll save quite a bit not selecting the PP along with the fact that I was also going to replace the summer tires that comes with the PP with an all season set.

Again, thanks for the responses.

TBH I bet you would not notice the ride difference between a PP and standard if nobody told you what each car had. The PP is a good deal for what you get depending on what you want to do with your car. If this will be a daily driver that never sees the track or an autoX course just save the money, but if will be used as a racecar buy it

I completely agree that the PP is a great offering as per what you're getting for the price! And I truly hope that once I do get a chance to test drive one, I'll find that the ride is acceptable.

Now as for how it will be used? This car will be a Daily Driver and "never" see the track! In all honesty, it'll be driven by two old farts in their retirement, my wife and myself, lol. But I do like the two center gauges along with knowing I have a heavier radiator and larger brakes.

Only time will tell and I will post my findings. :)

The PP's ride is a little rougher, but not by much at all. It feels a lot better in terms of handling though. They did a good job of giving the car a sporty feel w/o a having a shit ride.

It's not as handling oriented as I would like, but it's meant to be an everyday performance package, so it's understandable.

I'm almost at 500 miles on my PP and it has settled in nicely. It was super firm at first...not so bad now.

The one's I test drove (mine hasn't come in yet) weren't harsh compared to some performance oriented cars i've driven. It felt like a nice tourer.

The highlighted and underlined wording above is my main concern regarding getting or not getting the PP.

I'm looking for as comfortable a ride as possible! Usually, a performance suspension equates to a harsher ride. Although I do like the enhanced "in the road" feel, if that also means having a harsher ride, the PP will be out for me. This, along with supposedly not having a spare tire makes for another negative aspect regarding my requirements.

Of course the only way to really tell is to drive both. Problem there is finding a dealer who happens to have a PP and Non-PP side by side to test drive.

Any others here who have driven a PP and Non-PP care to share their observations regarding ride comfort?
18" wheels and No PP for you if you want comfort. Added sidewall will soften the ride further. That's not to say the PP doesn't have comfort, but the non-PP has more.

PP vs non, really isn't much different. I test drove several non PP cars before finally getting a chance with the beast that is the PP. the ride quality is comparable, but the PP just feels connected. It's engaging and encourages you to push the envelope through an apex. After driving one, it wasn't even a choice. It was PP or nothing.
