Don't be a woman. GT with a 6 speed.
As a woman who has driven manual for >32 years (this is my first AT), I am constantly blown away by the number of men on this forum who are learning to use a stick specifically in order to drive this car.

Your point is moot. :)

You enjoy people suffering when trying to decide between getting what their heart tells them, and being an adult and putting on the big boy pants and buying the more financially responsible option?
If you can afford the GT Premium then it's not about being responsible - get what you really want. If you can't really afford it then don't buy it.

I want the PP! But alas, the car will be an automatic. I need to use it as a daily driver for much of the year, and i'm too lazy to deal with the clutch in traffic for half an hour after I get out of a 16 hour shift at work.
All my previous performance cars were stick (2001 GT, 2003 Cobra, 2004 Z06), but the traffic here is now beyond insane. I'm very happy with the auto and 3.55 combo on my GT. You can't go wrong either way.

For me, the 4 or 6 was never even on the table. I had no interest in this Mustang outside of GT. The 2015 GT Premium brings the incredible Coyote motor and luxury level amenities. Every time I drive mine I love it - it's worth every penny to me. If you can't say that there's no point in buying a car like this.

In the end you should test drive the different configurations you are interested in and decide for yourself. You aren't looking for basic transportation based on your posts, so if you can afford it get what you really want. Whatever that is...

How do you deal with the MTs inability to shift fast? THAT is not a plus.

I can 100% agree being we live in the south...mostly girls give two shits less about sports cars...
Since I was a little girl I have loved sports cars. My dad owned several, but I distinctly remember helping the big guys push the broken down baby-crap-green Vette down the street to the neighbor who purchased it. I appreciate hot rods, too, probably because my father and his buddies restored them (his baby was a '32 chopped Chevy truck). I did not complain when Dad took me along to the local rod runs in CT. Now I take my 80yo father-in-law to local meets (he is restoring a '65 fastback). Hubster is not as interested in this stuff.

...they only car about some big ole jacked up truck with big ass tires and a yeti sticker on the back.
I had lived in NC for 18 years, and I can tell you...'big ole jacked up truck with big ass tires' did nothing for me, let alone their drivers. It is unfair, but here I am years later in CA, still viewing jacked up trucks with disdain (Wranglers are a little different; I owned two).

Haha, I think guys notice our cars more than women. Every day I get compliments from guys. I have had one girl smile at me at a stop sign, besides that, I hate to say, we drive dude magnets lol
Indeed, we certainly do, though recently a woman complimented my car - and how I look in it. :p But it would do a single woman very well to drive one of these. (And judging from this crowd, it would be a bonus if she drove stick )

So Dave, are you just "trolling" here on this thread early Saturday Morning? You can tell there are already "shifty men" and "fast women" posting here. Raoh has enough problems with which iteration of Mustang to choose from...and now he's taking advice on how he should be "shiftless" or go to school to "learn to row" MTs. Any choice of a 2015 Mustang will be satisfying. Real world Mustang driving beats video game couch cruising in my book. You will see Raoh.

Klumpikat, don't you realize that any woman driving a GT is a "fast woman". But I won't describe you as "shiftless" because you drive an AT. LOL.

I had no idea klumpikat was a woman until she pointed it out in one thread. Good posts too.

Not to sound too sexist, but I believe the Mustang Community would be well served to embrace more women drivers...just saying... They used to buy only the V-6s but they've graduated to the thrill of that Coyote recently. Klumpikat has great car perspectives in her posts. Haven't seen too many show up and rallies and meets yet.

I do plenty of embracing where women are concerned.

RHM,
LOL, I was just rolling my eyes at what I viewed as yet another over testoteron'ed, puffy chested, demeaning comment that if you don't drive a V8 w/ a stick... (you know the rest ;)). I do not have anything against MT's, they are fun! I may have read too much into it, and maybe not. :D

In the 70's I had a Muncie shift kit on my '69 Chevelle. It's all about getting to the next gear as fast as possible. I'm assuming that has not changed.;)

I have a drivers mod
What is your driver's mod? Does it allow you to shift as fast as your hand can move the shifter to the next gear with no hang up or other hesitation?

I am not bashing MT's. I would be not to happy to get a new car with a four speed to find it was not able to be shifted fast, so am curious how this is playing out in the Mustang MT world. I don't read the MT threads, so I am just curious.
