a little long, please bear with me.
got served a huge cup of disappointment.
$400 SCT X4
$400 to PBD
did not even get to finalize the 91 tune and communication from them ceased.
in summary...base tune received, flashed, data logged up until the first revision (91 R2 ), then more data logging. he said everything looked good, so onto E85.
as i was burning through the gas, i was playing with sport and sport+ and as soon as the tach reached 2200-2300 rpm, the car started to buck and the tach jumped in increments, not just a smooth needle movement.
i told him what happened and he asked for logs and i sent him one for each sport mode
i told him i did a KAM reset and it almost eliminated the bucking in sport+, but still occurred in sport and i flashed it back to the base tune (91 R1 ). i also told them i haven't done anything with E85 yet, as i wanted to get this resolved
he asked what fuel i was on in R1. i told him 91. my base tune was revised to R1, because they did not factor in the 87mm throttle body that i said i had in the initial tune order form.
on 8/1, he said "but the last tunes i sent you were for ethanol. so you have Ethanol mix or e85 on the 91 tune?"
my response on 8/1 ....." I still had 91 in the tank and wanted to wait on the E85 until I got a hold of you about the bucking in sport and sport plus mode.
I'm on the 91 R1 tune and no bucking.
I assume the E85 R2 tune is based off of the 91 R2 tune and may have the same issue. "
8/3 my message
"I don't want to be too much of a bother.
We're you able to figure out what the issue was between 91 R2 and 91 R1?
Just by going with the tune name E85 R2, I assume that is based off of the 91 R2 tune with the possible same bucking issue.
I originally had the old crusty and over gapped plugs when I flashed the 91 R1 base tune and data logged it. Now with new plugs and going back to 91 R1, the car runs pretty good. I think a new round of data logging would help and to dial it in even better."
nothing since 8/1
i sent an email to sean on 8/6, stating a summary of the above and that i feel that i was left hanging
