I called Ford (Muzzi, the closest dealer I have) and they had no idea about the TSB, or did not want to admit it. I still made an appointment, would it be a good idea to take the printout of the TSB with me ?

Many thanks all.

I'm gonna email it upfront and let them order parts before going

Yes never underestimate the stupidity of your local ford dealer.

Now experience tells me to wait for others to go before me so my car will not be the guinea pig for this TSB ;) I will give it 6 months or so and go and complain again :)
LOL! I was waiting for you to go first! ;-)

My car is getting ceramic coated this week but plan to discuss this with my trusted Ford Advisor!

Awesome, thanks! One more thing for them to do when I eventually bring it in for the AC fix. Waiting on that as I want the most up to date AC repair, I head heard newer versions of AC repair as of recent.
Good luck! Keep us posted!

My gap was fixed at the dealer about 6 months ago. i still have a slight gap but its not opening up. I want to see how tight the gap is with this TSB fix. If its real tight I may ask them to re-do it with the new method but I am waiting for Pics form other TSB fixes. Seems every time ford touches my car something else goes wrong LOL.
Yeah - I had to get a new bumper when I bought it because the clip was busted on the bumper! It still has a big enough gap that I'm going to take it back to Ford. Fortunately I have a great Service Advisor and will only deal with the owner of the body shop to get it fixed.

I definitely would take a copy! I contacted my Ford Service guy, found it and e-mailed it to me.

Make sure you talk to someone who can spell "Shelby" and get the information on the body shop they use to do their repairs.

best bet is to fix it yourself. It goes in the dealer something else gets fucked.
I hear ya! Fortunately I have a trusted advisor I've been going to for the past 15 years and he won't let anyone touch my car and keeps it parked inside right across from his desk.

Well by golly I stand corrected there is now a TSB. I'm gonna wait awhile and see how others turn out after having it done plus I'm not real fond of the only body shop here in town and Ford uses it.

If you go to any dealer in Mass, go to Herb Chambers in Braintree, talk to Andy, and only let Kenny work on it. He is there lead tech and a Mustang guy. He is the only ford tech I would trust

Disclaimer, this is purely my opinion that only applies to my own car. I can appreciate that Ford finally stepped up to offer a fix, but it is underwhelming. After reading through the installation of the new bracket I have to leave that as a last resort before leaving my car open to a potential butcher job. Clipping off tabs and drilling holes are definitely not what I expected to see. For a shade tree fix sure but not a factory endorsed repair that does not even give definitive guidelines for how much tab to cut nor a template to locate the holes that are drilled.
