Car fax checks out, but wondering if this is this a concerning amount of panel gap between the bumper and hood that could mean it’s had any previous damage?

Is the OASIS report usually free? The price is very enticing for the car. I’ve got a PPI lined up and the dealer confirmed they will accept the appointment from the 3rd party. Just need to pull the trigger on the PPI. Boy this escalated quickly..Pictures are bad as others have stated. Aside from that, there is a rubber gasket between the hood and the bumper cover on all S550's. On some depending on picture angles, it can appear as a "gap" or may look smaller/larger based on exterior colors and if the rubber is exposed more or less.
I don't think there's an issue with the appearance of the gasket.
If you're buying a Shelby GT350, 350R or GT500 - best thing you can do from afar if you can't go look/touch/feel the car in person:
Hire a local and well known with good reviews vehicle inspection service that will go over the entire car and furnish a report to you BEFORE you put down any deposit or earnest monies.
If you don't want to do that, your only other options are to purchase a CarFax, Autocheck or other similar VIN reporting service report. Granted they don't always reveal accident or other damage assessments, but it's all there is from a "paper trail" perspective.
The last recommendation aside from the top 2 is contact your local Ford Dealer. Ask if they can run you a complete OASIS report from the VIN. The OASIS will have lots of data, including Warranty Start date, any warranty work and/or any other maintenance or repair work. If the car was serviced at ANY Ford Dealer, that service history is captured in OASIS (or ETIS if Euro).
Oh and IF the price is too good to be true, make sure it's not a Ford Buy Back (ASK, because not all 2nd/3rd party sellers will reveal the car was a Buy Back. Buy Back will also be reported in OASIS or ETIS) OR make doubly sure it's not an online scam.
If panel gaps bother you, I generally suggest you don't buy a Mustang S550 without seeing it first. They almost ALL have issues to one degree or another.![]()
