That looks Good! Better than mine!
Thanks, The other side doesn't look quite as good, but it wasn't bad to start with. I'm happy with the results. I'm happy Ford covered it under warranty too!

That's good that they did, and they should. Lighter colors show it off much more IMO because of the dark contrast of the seams. Before my warrantee is up i may have them align it better. Its not terrible but there can be improvement.

Those black plastic brackets on mine were all loose. Two screws were just installed and not tightened at all.
I pushed the brackets up tight and then tightened the screws. Shouldn't move again.

So it has begun. Up until two weeks ago mine were fine. Today I have a good almost 1/2"+ gap on the driver's side and just under 1/2" on the passenger side. Looks like I will be taking the bumper off next weekend.

Has anyone noticed if their trunk lid center section is off on the driver's side? The black plastic center section where it meets the taillights just above the bumper. My passenger side is completely flush and the driver's side is sticking out about 3/8". Saturday at Cars and Coffee there were 7 GT350/Rs. All but one had the same issue. Some were worse than others but on all of them the driver's side was sticking out and the passenger side was pretty much flush.

I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it up along with my new panel gap.

This pic is not my car but shows the area circled in red I am referring to.

My car was like that when new. I complained and Ford adjusted it. It is as good as it will get now.

Agree, just take it to the dealer. I had them adjust my bumper gap about 3 months ago and it is much improved. Its still not perfect but I think that just secondary to sub-optimal engineering behind the bumper cover and its mounts. As long as its under warranty make it Fords issue to fix

To bad the GT 350 wasn't made at the German plant like the Focus RS. The Panel gaps on the RS are much better.

Just got my 2017 back from body shop. My black piece bottom edge (with trunk closed) was almost touching the tail light on passenger side and gapped more on drivers side. They said the trunk lid lid needed adjusted to the left a little. Its now perfect. I asked them how they got the trunk lid adjusted without showing they worked on it and the guy smiled and said "you don't want to know". They also attempted to tighten the panel gap. Its not as bad now but they said that they couldn't get it any closer but that it wouldn't gap any farther.

read this someplace.... the tabs by the red arrows needs sanding down too close that part of gap

Also install fender washers under screws, Clean paint under hanger [scotch guard] and put a few drops of ABS Epoxy to keep hanger from moving

I do believe the guy that originally posted those pictures of doing this when asked sometime later said the gap came back just not quite as bad. That he was just going to leave it alone and live with it.
