somebody has an idea about how to repair this issue? Seems like it was a paint defect (I noticed it when I got the car) but today I was checking something on the wheels and I saw it. It seems like that “paint tear” got broken and I can see the fender metal. Any idea how to repair this without re-painting to avoid oxidation?

I dont see anything here that would concern me, I dont see the metal part you are referring too. but honestly, get a little paint pen from ford, they have a clear coat side brush. on a nice warm day, use some rubbing alcohol and clean the spots with exposed metal or whatever. you can use the paint on the spot if you want, use a little toothpick to apply the paint into any paint chips etc,

then use the brush and put down a little strip of the clear, that way the clear goes over the spots fully, when it cures (warm) day. it'll be almost invisible, probably invisible. its better than nothing, and you can ALWAYS remove it, its easy can be polished right off with a microfiber cloth. and if its still new/wet you can just use isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber and it'll wipe right off and try again if you mess up.

I do this, and it last for years with zero issue on little touch ups or nicks. I actually very much like the clear coat in fords little touch up pens, I use it on a lot of things.

I thought that was water/reflection. im sorry. small pic on iPhone.

buy a ford touch up pen 20 bucks, its better than leaving it exposed I guess. clean it with alcohol and pure some paint, let dry, then run clear over it.

may not ever notice it again.

if its easy to separate the panel to get around the edge that may be easier to get all around, but when you butt them back uptogether, it may rub/break/crack the new coat of clear/paint.

this also an extremely cheap fix/solution and its removable if you dont like it lol

think you'd be surprised how well that little paint kit works. I'd use the brush supplied with that little area, let it dry thoroughly, then fully cover the paint w clear, and overlap the paint w clear onto the real paint with the clear. it will look thick when laid down, but if its warm out, it will dry almost invisible/almost flat. you'll never notice it especially being by an edge line.
