What all do you guys factor into making this decision? I know powder coating will be significantly more durable and abrasive resistant, but is that all that goes into your decision? This is for a roll bar. I'm still getting some price estimates, but I think price between the two will be a wash. I don't really see extreme durability being a factor on the interior like that. Thoughts? Anything I may have missed or should consider?

With powder, you don’t have to worry about scratching or chipping nearly as much during the install (or if/when you uninstall and go to sell.).

-You’re not really worried about having the smoothest glossiest finish (which paint affords you,) so you might as well go for the durability of powder if the cost is even close. If you get paint, the first random BS scratch that gets on the painted roll bar, you’ll be cussing yourself for not getting powder coat.

I vote powder coat!

I put a 6 point in my 2004 Mach 1 and had it professionally sandblasted, after which I primed it and sprayed it myself with satin black paint. It looked great and never got scratched up because I used pads on the door bars.

Touching up is easier on paint IMO. But my last experience was with beadlocks on a jeep that saw rocks...should've known better
