I posted abou tech sub thread and only got 1 response that did not get me any closer to resolving this issue.

Started with the P2007 code - Intake Manifold Runner Valve failure code, yea the one that is a common issue for 15-17 S550 among numerous other Ford Models from years prior to 2015. Most of you on here are far more skilled and smarter then I am so I'm hoping others who may had this issue or simply experienced enough to point me in the right direction as this issue is driving me insane.

The car drove like crap a few days before the MIL went on, hesitating, hiccups felt idling, surging at time, and around 2500 to 3k rpm it got worse. Then the 2007 code came on. Replaced with a brand new 17 Manifold take off new crate engine. Everything was fine, car is running good but I noticed the DTC or MIL would not go off. Had the mobile mechanic who swapped it for me use scan tool and it was now showing a P2014 code (Intake Manifold sensor position switch error) and P2007 was gone. The manifold was checked and showed no signs of wear or use and the runner controls worked fine and you could tell because of the car now drives. Mech says he doesn't have the Ford Scan tool to reset the code but that driving a bunch of cycles - basically drive around a lot - would get the code to reset. Been about 300 miles and still no reset.

Got impatient and took it to a stealership knowing I was going to get ripped and sure enough they confirmed why I haven't gone to a Ford Dealer in 4 years. They did nothing except state the obvious and charged me for diagnosis of $200 which I paid just to get the hell out of there. They were clueless as to what a Flash or re-flash even meant or was good at pretending not to know what that meant and only concentrated on the codes and wanted $1000 to fix the EVAP leak...insinuating that while changing out the Mani there was something not put back right and causing the codes to pop up. I suspected it was not mechanical, again because despite the light, it drove great.

Same day did some more research online and figured I would just replace the 2 sensors at the back of the Manifold because that's what the code says is bad. Replaced both banks since parts were only like $35 each and mani had to come back off. Did it myself this time and looked around for anything loose or not plugged in tight, all was well no loose anything found. Put everything back and car still drives good with no issues but light still wont go off when cleared. Car doesn't even have to be driven now. Clear light, drive car to destination, turn car off, turn car back on and bam light comes back on every time.

After a few more weeks, researched and found a Mustang speciality shop about an hour away took it and told him what's up and dropped car off and he did about 5 hours of diagnosis on it and had it for 5 days. End result, he says there are no mechanical issues on car, nothing is broken per se, it is either a bad ECM or car needs to be put back completely to OEM tune and power pack 2 has to come off and those go back to OEM as well. Also, get rid of the Procal PP2 tune that is on the car. Don't have the OEM box so i bought one and its on the way and gonna take off the 350GT TB plus the airbox and tube and go back to OEM Tune to see if that solves it but not holding my breath. The shop owner says if that still doesnt solve it only one option he thinks, get a new /used ECM and have it flashed at the dealer, says he has a buddy who would do it on the side for a $100 during his lunch hour. Says he doesnt want to see the car back in his shop lol. He only charged me for 1 hour at $160 for the 5 plus hrs of diagnosis he did and is positive it is a PP2 Procal tune issue to accommodate the bigger 350GT TB and air intake system and for some reason the software from the evap is not able to communicate with the ECM to reset the replaced parts or its the ECM itself. He also said that the P2014 code is a "confirmed" code and he can not delete it permanently which is why it pops up without car being driven and has to go to a dealer with a Ford reader as his is not fancy enough he says lol.

I did find a guy online on Reddit who has a F150 with the same exact scenario and codes in this order popping up but no final resolution posted, just a bunch of questions like me. So this is not a single isolated incident most likely. I dont get why a code for a specific part comes up then the part is replaced but is a confirmed code -whatever that is - and cant be deleted or reset. He says all parts check out good and works like it should he just cant delete the coes. Anyone gone thru this with their S550 and can you shared what the final resolution was with me or provide some insights as to what the hell is going on...i have never had this type of problem on any of my other numerous brands I have owned. Thanks in advance for this stupid long read and responding.

I know this is a somewhat old thread, but did you happen to get your issues resolved?

Also, do you happen to have the part numbers for the sensors?
