Figured I'd do this for fun. Been over a year since I took a trip up to Gainesville. Last time I did I only have 4k miles on the car, and no mods. Fast forward to today, I have over 21k, and a heap of bolt ons. And my MPG has improved. It's a one mph difference in the cruise control as I forgot what I had set it to when I last made my trip, but it's also later in the year (much hotter) and I have a full tank of gas vs almost a quarter, so car is heavier now too. So I'm making roughly 60-70 more HP, but I'm getting better mileage, love it.

Man, that's great mileage. I wonder if the taller gears are responsible. In my PP I struggle to hit 24 with just highway driving and cruise control set at 75.

I'd imagine having more low end torque would help with the MPG. That's good to know because my stock PP GT averages around 17MPG currently @ 2500 miles :)

I literally just got back from a road trip up to the Poconos mountains in PA so I was able to test out what kind of mileage I could get. It's about 200 miles/3 hours.

Specifics:
My 2015 GT Premium has the 3.55 gears (manual). Also, about a month ago, I put new tires on my factory 20" Foundry wheels. Instead of the stock size of 265/35/20, I put on 275/35/20 tires (squared) on so there's a little bit more sidewall which obviously changes the total diameter a tiny bit. I always use 93 Octane fuel.

Car is more or less stock. About 25,000 miles. I do have a Steeda CAI but with the restrictor in place. Still running factory tune. Also have a Lethal X-pipe resonator delete. That's basically it other than a couple IRS/suspension bits.

Mileage:
On my normal mixed driving commute around town, I'm usually around 16-17 mpg.

On this mostly highway trip to the Poconos I was right around 25 mpg which was really surprising to me. This included a few downshifts here and there to blast past a slower car. Typically though, I was using cruise control at around 75 mph with windows closed and A/C on.

Your findings are laughable in the face of the automotive industry manufacturers association that wants laws passed to prevent owners from installing programs in the cars we are paying for.

Do your pocket a favor. Run regular pump gas. I ran premium for the first year of owning mine. One day I said screw it, I'm going to try 87. I could NOT tell a difference in performance at all. There are many threads here on this subject. You're throwing good money away that can be used for mods!!

...3.73 MPG will go up slightly if you set your cruise control less than 75. I tested this driving from MD to FL and back in 2014 as well as several other trips around Delmarva. I'd literally watch the MPG's go up when easing up on the cruise control speed. Last thing to note, it takes a good long trip to get above 25.

...if you have 3.73 gearing, be happy with an average of 15-17 around town and anywhere from 19-22 highway. If you consistently average above that...it's nothing to be proud about driving a sports car and that your drive is extremely boring.

They definitely do. And if I didn't plan on supercharging down the road I would have swapped to PP pumpkin.

my god, clean your interior!
I know I know. My whole car is disgusting. With non stop rain we've had I haven't cleaned her in weeks.

How was your grille looking after the ride up? Hate those love bugs
Knock on wood, no love bugs. Think it was too early in the morning for them, around 7am.

What final drive do you have?

Yep, I wouldn't run premium on this. I'd save the coin (here it is about a 70 cent difference) and just stick to regular.

Good thoughts on the MPG difference. That is quite impressive for the GT. The only time I could see babying it would be on the interstate.
