Two orange Mustangs 48 years apart......
A friend of mine bought the 67 new. At the time you were either a GM guy or Ford guy and wouldn’t recognize a beautiful car from the “other side”. He put a teardrop scoop on it and I loved the look but couldn’t admit it cause I drove a 396 Chevelle.
My favourite year Mustang all time looks wise is a 67.

I had the Red 66 next to the 67 Fastback . My 1st and only Mustang before my 16 GT.
Bought it in 1979 for $300. I was also a Chevy guy. Had a ton of them

I had one of those, but with the windsor, a 3-sp manual, and a shaker hood. Hey, prefer the one you have now. Ha ha. I'm not nostalgic, those old cars don't hold a candle to the new ones in any respect. Much rather have a new one... and probably cheaper. Ha ha. But nice memories.

Bought my first car, a 1974 Olds Cutlass Supreme, for $400. Parents were out of town, and none to happy when they came back. 350CI, 4bbl. It was all I could do to earn enough money to feed it gas; I could watch the gas gauge go down while stepping on it. I spent the intervening 30-odd years driving gas-sipping imports. I'm glad to be done with that.

That was a drag strip at the time. It was an airstrip that had been built for training pilots for the Second World War. It is abandoned now, but we sneak down once in awhile to exercise our machines.
My buddy and I went there a few days ago, him in his 19 GT A10 with 3:55 gears and active exhaust and me in the 15 GT PP manual. His car is significantly faster than mine, maybe not so much with a better/younger driver. He’s younger as well, he’s 75 and I’m 76.
