If it ain’t broke don’t change it. Car on 93 with the 3.55 should feel really good now when you get to the 800+ make look to go back to 3.15 but as an upgrade to iron case if it doesn’t have one.

Just throwing this out there . Why not 3.31 out of a manual ? You would be getting an iron case .

That's just splitting hairs...
Red or blonde , all seriousness, just was a thought . I have a 15 with a 6mt so I guess I'm talking out my ass .

So 3:31s are not enough of a change, unless you couple that with a bigger tire. I looked into it extensively when trying to keep my torsen. You are fine with the 3:55 gears for now. I didn't feel a need to change until I started trapping mid 140s. The problem isn't too much shifting or the leave. It is hitting 7th gear around 135/138mph (on 315/45/17). Car falls off when it hits 1:1.

What's your goal?
Have fun driving on the street?
1/4 mile competition?
HPDE driving?

Your goal is important and I would think about it before changing gears.

Keep 3.55s and play with rear tire size 1st.

Unless your after a time slip Id bet boost and 3.55s will be more fun for street.

Some people dont need race car

Primarily me and the guys just roll race and that’s a bout it... I’m on a tall ass tire right now which changed my ratio 315/35/20... gonna change the tire for my street rims and get a drag pack as well for the rear here within the next few weeks to see how it feels...any recommendations for size? Should I go with a 17?

315/30/20 are just as wide and just over a inch shorter 305/30/20 is .4 inch narrower and 1.5” shorter and more than enough for a daily tire. I would get a A/S tire for daily.
And a 17” for the drag pack

Random but are race stars really that bad? Lol why do they get a bad rep
They aren't that bad, lol. Taken them on and off is a huge PITA though. I swear their engineers had a meeting to come up with ways to annoy us. Let's start with a crappy plastic hub centric ring, then let's provide washers bent just enough so they only go on one way but not enough to tell. Hmm did that say wheel side in small print? then trying to line up the mile long shank lugs into a recessed wheel. To top it off they are nice enough to provide a socket for the lugs...... With a 3/8ths drive. I know someone at race star is laughing their ass off about that one. Otherwise they are great lol
