Almost no one read the OP question.
OP, if you are not doing HPDEs or Road Racing the car on turns you will not notice the difference of not having a strut tower brace. AND if you are, I'm not sure I would get a PD blower.
I don't know if you can custom tune your car in California but a PDB(I assume LUND would be similar) completely woke up the car. I was a huge difference... Especially on torque.
I initially was not going to spend the extra $$$ on a new tune when I already got one but it was worth it.
Not...
I have a Procharged 2016 Auto6 daily driver, I got the Prochager because I knew traction with a Whipple would be a challenge.
People underestimate the Michellin PILOT SPORT A/S 3 PLUS.
They work great for me... Sure, you'll never get traction on first gear if not using a drag radial but I get...
I have a Procharger, I read both manuals around 5 times, the Procharger is much simpler and others in the Forum agree. When it comes to time, IF YOU were doing it yourself I think the Prochager would be much simpler and would take less time. It's not 5-6 hours, with 2 people it took us 2 days...
I'm all for being legal and having clean air.
It just frustrating that right now we can't upgrade our cars(700+ HP 2015+ Mustang GT) and be able to do it safely legally since the technology of Cats has not caught up to us. They all fail.
I guess we could buy 2020 GT500 cats, saw them off and...
That’s the kind of advancements and options I’m taking about.
Can I get a bolt on replacement with something like a 2020 GT500 Cat?
We need better legal reliable options for 700+ HP cars.
Right, that’s what I meant about this being a hot topic in 2021+
I really hope the Cat industry get serious quickly about making products that perform, are legal and support 800+ HP consistently without failing.
I also hope the legal tuning industry does not go away.
Thanks for the feedback.
Switching the question around.
Given all the emissions talk this week, I'm planning to stay with cats.
What do you all believe is the "safest" catted setup for a boosted application(12 psi 700 crank)?
Anything that is bolt-on, that is legal, and pass inspection?
I...
As the title says, I'm only worried about the cats failing.
I don't care about more HP so not planning on headers and don't want high flow cats.
I also don't want to reinstall stock cats every year.
What's the simplest, bolt on if possible, way to delete cats?
And if I do, would something like...
Ugh, this sucks. I was looking forward to the Lund tune.
I've seen Videos and some posts that the PDB tune can be quite aggressive on shifts. This is a daily driver, I'm not looking for that.
Any feedback on PDB tune shifts?
Anyone from Lund here at the forums can confirm that Lund is now not able to re-use a HP Tuners Ngauge that was shipped with the Procharger from Beefcake?
What's your goal?
Have fun driving on the street?
1/4 mile competition?
HPDE driving?
Your goal is important and I would think about it before changing gears.
I just installed a Stage II Complete package on my 2016 A6 GT.
It’s been great so far, the car idles, starts, and feel like a stock car until I hit 5K RPM and it pulls like crazy until 7+K RPM.
I had a 03 Cobra before and I now understand a little about the difference between a PD and the...
As the title states, can I fit a Mishimoto 3-Row core + Procharger P1X?
I'll be doing HPDEs and I'm worries about coiling on a 2016 A6 GT(standard radiator).
Looking to HPDE a 2016 A6 with a Procharger Stage 2. Most say it's "needed", how many have seen it fail? Please comment.
I read about motors failing but what percentage is due to the oil pump gear and crank sprocket? 1%? 10%? Versus just motor failure?
