I have a 10 speed with 3.55 gears... I’m installing a p1sc stage 2 kit on 93. I remember hearing of a gear ration that’s supposedly better for boost but would like clarification as to why that is and which gearing ratio is better! Thanks in advance

3.15. Because of the gear ratio in the transmission are very short as it is. So longer rearend gears help

Run it on the 355 first since its in there. Then see if it needs changed. If you put together a combo based on what forum people say, you will end up with some slow shit.

Facts! This is what I’ll do
Don’t ask a question if you don’t want the answer. With the gear ratio in the trans being so low and 3.55 gears the car is going to be worthless if you launch in first. At least get a 2nd gear leave tune. Then the car is going to be shift shift shift shift shift shift shift shift shift. you don’t get a chance to use the gear. Don’t believe me email Lund

It might be fine with the 3.55 gears. The centrifugal doesn’t make as much boost down low as a roots type supercharger.

The thing is with a centrifugal and a 10r80 it gets to full boost about as fast as a 6r80 with a PD blower. It gets to full boost right now

Keep the smart a** remark you wrote in line 1 of your response to yourself.. it clouds the 2 cents you’re attempting to add to the post. Now to the rest of your response thank you and I’ll check with Lund !:)

I apologize if it came out that way. Smart ass was not my intention. I mean not to ask for information if you are not open to hearing people’s opinions. I probably should have been a little less blunt

Steeda is using a 3.15 gear with their record holding N/A GT.

With these current transmissions and the 4 something first gear.....

2nd gear leave on a centri with 93oct lmaoooo.....that would be a turd for sure.

leave the 3.55 in it.
First gear in a 10r80 with 3.15 is exactly the same as a 6r80 with 3.55
All I know is Lund and other tuners recommend 3.15

Does this insinuate something outside of the obvious?
