Are you guys aware that Flat Rock is down indefinitely while Ford investigates a potential benzene leakage? It’s been a big deal in the news here for about a week or so. Several homes in the area had to be evacuated because of illness brought on by the leakage. Started as reports of a strange odor, then people started getting sick. Then Ford said it might be coming from FR plant.

I have a Mach 1 scheduled the first week of November. I wonder how many of these shutdowns they can endure near the end of the production year before they start cancelling orders. A dealer told me they can place orders all day long, but doesn't mean every one will be fulfilled.

I was told once you get a vin that it will be done, but plant closures I think could change things for sure. Then it becomes a 2022 with no price protection for those of us that ordered. I am due the same week as you!

Once it gets a VIN I think the model year is locked in. One of the digits of the VIN defines model year. So if you get a VIN for a ‘21, it can’t be entered as a ‘22. They’d have to reissue a new VIN.

My last email from Ford was I think Aug 7, saying Sept 27 production. Called Ford Performance Aug 23 and they said it's actually Sept 22. Called again yesterday and they said now it's Sept 21. We may actually be getting them finally!

I emailed FP from their website, they got back to me within a businessDay. 9/23 is/was my date. Obviously Flat Rock schedule can change that.

Planning to call Friday since they seem to do weekly scheduling on Thursdays.

So I am attempting to order a 2021 and have just been told that Ford is not allowing Black Accent Package orders to go through currently for 2021 cars. Anyone else hear anything about this?

I see many window stickers on Ford dealers across the country with blend dates late August/early Sep so if Ford is indeed prioritizing customer orders over dealer orders then how is this happening?? Need a contact at Ford for THAT complaint!

Seems like handling package with a manual are getting later dates for schedule.
