My understanding - window sticker available AFTER production starts. My 4/6 order still doesn't have window sticker (9/27 build week as of last update). Mine has only been moved back, as the Flat Rock closures started the week after I ordered - 4/12. Fingers crossed the 9/27 week holds.

My last email from Ford was I think Aug 7, saying Sept 27 production. Called Ford Performance Aug 23 and they said it's actually Sept 22. Called again yesterday and they said now it's Sept 21. We may actually be getting them finally!

My sticker showed up a week before blend date/build week. I think that’s typical, unless there are other issues.

Last update I had from the dealer was a build date of 9/13. I just got an email from Ford pushing it to 9/27.

I jinxed myself by ordering accessories - I figured since I was within 10 days of my build it would be safe to order stuff, 4 hours later in comes the delay notice!

Thanks, to Mikepol2, I'll be calling Ford Performance for an update on Tuesday. I tried calling yesterday. 20 minutes after they closed early for the holiday weekend Oh well. Last email I have is a 9/27 build week for a HP/FJG/6M car. If it moves up, even better due to picking the car up out of state and questionable weather. If the temperature drops too much I'll look at having the car delivered.

I bet if we took a quick poll about 8-10 of us have all had our Mach 1 dates shifted to Sept 27 via email / a few days earlier per FP. Looks like Flat Rock is getting ready for a batch of them.

Agreed. And other Mach 1, even HP have come out, so maybe luck of the draw combined with option set.

I have documented 47 orders from the forum and I have a full lifecycle on about 1/2. Working on getting others updated. So far the average time from order to build date is 86 days. I will update this thread every few days to a week. Also if someone knows how I can upload a file here, let me know. I have the spreadsheet in Numbers on iPad so maybe why I can’t upload.

I wish I even had a build estimate or a VIN assigned. My order was placed 4/5 but I haven't gotten a single email from Ford and the dealership is saying the order is still waiting to be pulled by Ford...

Did you ever get your GT or any updates? I have a tracker sheet going which I’m posting updates on to this thread and another I started. Thanks!

How did you get emails from ford? I haven't received anything unless I didn't sign up at the correct place. My order went in 3/10, was supposed to be built the week of 4/19, and haven't heard back from the dealer as of writing .

I'm honestly considering canceling my order. I timed my order for an early summer delivery. It probably won't be delivered until July now. (Early March order)

I was on the fence about ordering and waiting for the new 7g to come out.

The worst part is the Ford is not reaching out in any way. Not at the dealer level or from Ford Corp. I think everyone realizes there are supply chain issues but to not communicate with your customer is the worst thing a company can do. Plus, the fact that they probably knew about this in February or earlier and they didn't set realistic order delivery timelines.

I work for one of the largest home builders in the US. We are communicating extremely regularly with our customer base on delays and setting realistic build times.

Awful experience Ford.

Ordered 3/10 new build is week of 6/7. I'm in same boat dealer didn't give ford my email. I send Anthony @fordperformce a email
I won't ask again until it gets closer,, almost worn out from this excuse of covid

I ordered in April, got an email from Ford on 28 April saying it is in production (which i understand its their production system, not the production line). Dealer has no further details other than delays due to semi conductors etc. I don’t have a VIN or an ETA.

Not sure I will even get it in 2021 now. Maybe it will roll into a 2022 model year now. I wonder what changes might be planned for 2022 lol.
Is 2022 MY going to revert to later this year like previous MY changes, or will the changeover stay in January like it was for 2021 MY?

I am not in a massive hurry as i have another car to get around in, but since i finally decided to get the Mustang, i am now pretty keen to get hold of it.

I have purchased a few add-ons/mods, nothing major at this point thankfully. Will order wheels, exhaust and Magneride handling pack once i have a confirmed delivery date. Although if it starts to push very late in the year it might pay to see if there are any changes for 2022 and change my order to that depending on the timing.

Keep track of Mach 1’s separately, they definitely are scheduled differently (longer).

Track order delivery times by model, put it in a pivot table, that way you can average delivery time by model, by dealer location, whether ordered pre or post Flat Rock shutdown, and priority code….if you’re a true data afficionado

Update?

Got an email from Ford on 18 Aug saying it is built. Waiting for their email advising it is on its way now. Still dont have a VIN, but that is probably the dealer not looking into it for me, rather than it not being available.

So getting a 2021, with an ETA of probably early November.
