If you had to choose between gears..or a stall for a upgrade.... which one and why?

my 2017 auto with 315 gears is a little lazy out of the hole till it gets to 3k and then pulls like a freight train... Would a stall fix that or better gears...says 373 fin that?

all opinions please.... ty!!!

I'm not a racer but I'd say you could live with the converter easier than the 3.73 gears.

Stall...

3.15s are a pretty good set for the A6 cars.

I have never changed a converter in my life but I can tell you that I've got 3.55 with my A6 and it makes quick work of the lower gears. It revs fast and hard, almost makes 1st overly short of you are getting on it. But 6th at 85 is turning 2500 rpm.

Very simple. Putting money towards a converter is worth every penny. Putting money towards a gear change is money down the drain.

You need to talk to sombody that knows this stuff in and out like a tuner or even beefcake. Buying a converter would be fine if you knew you were staying NA and with that particular setup. A converter won't work with most forms of boost so it will be wasted money.

Actually a centrifugal will greatly benefit from a converter.
