Does anyone else have this issue with the hose touching wires? I have the hose on top of the wires and it is touching them and then I ran the hose underneath and still touching wires. Is this ok for the wires?

Attached is how I ran mine.

Gently disconnecting the plug with the red fastener, I put it as shown, with two bundles above and the larger one below; it gives me a bit of a gap amongst all the bits.

Nothing touching or rubbing. No issues in a bit over a year. Nothing moves. It just sits there.

The material is a bit easier to work with while the engine is warm. You can shape or adjust.

Maybe the hose on yours should be a little longer, and run in an arc over the wires.
I would ask the manufacturer for a longer piece of hose.

The Ford solution does not have this problem. 🤷‍♂️

Just did it that way, wow it does not leave much movement room so hopefully it does not move.

FWIW, mine has been OK. No signs of shifting, moving or rubbing. The gaps between all the pieces have stayed. Once I got the items initially setup, I never had to go back and re-adjust. Ford (and other makers nowadays) don't leave a lot of room amongst the mechanicals. Excess costs a lot when producing millions of vehicles; it encourages everyone to keep things to a minimum.

Don't they move when you take off the catch can or do you take the entire thing off?

I remove my can two or three times a year, to inspect or empty. I place a t-shirt immediately beneath the can, just in-case I drop it. Keeping another hand on the head end, I unscrew the can and bring it out. I do not disconnect the hoses or connectors; they just sit there.

This last season was my first full year with the car. I had 15ml / .5 oz in the can (YMMV), emptied it, wiped it out and put back. I do not wipe or clean the head end; there is a mesh screen which is somewhat delicate I don't want to touch. I use modest pressure when re-attaching the can. Finger tight.

If you'd like to measure the amount recovered, cruise the Baking Goods isle. I found these small, jar-like measuring cups with any number of cross-references for amounts.

I just couldn't get my JLT one to sit the way I wanted in there so I quit trying to use it. I had the same concern over that hose that has to go through the wires but mine also always ended up brushing against the fluid tank too. JLT needs to provide a longer hose for the right side as someone else said-JLTs fit on these is garbage. No way am I undoing that red wire harness...someone else mentioned those things break very easily.

Do you have the part number of that red clip, yea, it fell into nothingness.

Good reason to use the ford racing parts. Designed by ford to fit correctly with bracket to support the separator instead of relying on the hoses

It seems like the red clip is an easy off/on and maybe secondary lock because the plug still locks into place.

Sorry to hear what happened. Glad to hear you got everything reconnected. The battery cover connectors have been my fastener of choice to lose in the engine bay.

I don't think you can purchase clips by themselves. Next time you are in the area of the dealer, stop in and explain yourself.

1) Someone whose previously done warranty work might scavenge such things and hold some.

2) Check with parts. Ford does sell pig tail kits for some sockets, for repair/replacements. You might be able to buy one plug assembly, taking the clip from it.

I am not super worried now as long as the plug can lock without it which it seems it can do though I will keep looking for that stupid red clip for sale.

that Ford Performance one looks like a PITA to install and drain though. Do you have to completely unhook it to drain it? Thought you had to disconnect lines to install it too. I don't think I need a catch can anyways with my relatively normal driving.
