Mach 1 guys, in the center of the car, near the transmission, do you guys have these two wires exposed like this? Are they supposed to be covered up? Thanks

Thanks. Do you know what they do for the A10? Are they supposed to be covered or exposed like that? Thanks

Just put electoral tape around them. They don't serve any purpose for an MT82 vehicle if the harness they're coming from was "universal" between auto and manual platforms.

Is the plug on the left of your highlighted area partially melted / deformed ?

I didn't see anything melted. But the more I look at the picture, there are a number of exposed wires...

I was referring to this :

Maybe it’s just the lighting, but it looks a bit wonky to me ?

If your second post is referring to these kind of ‘exposed’ wires :

I don’t think you need worry - I think the individual wires are sealed where they enter the back of the plug :like:

I am interested to know what those disconnected plugs are normally used for, I would have thought the spec of your car (premium equivalent / active exhaust / Magneride / A10 / cats / GPF’s etc) would have had every spare bit of the loom and every plug used ?

Is it possible that your change of headers eliminated the need for those plugs ?

The exposed wiring is normal due to the bends and no way to get wiring conduit to bend/form around those tight angles. The wires are protected for sure as WD mentioned above, so there’s no worry with what you’re seeing.

The exposed or “open ended” connector, it does look damaged or melted maybe, but again it’s serving no purpose to your application so taping it up OR buying a matching male end and plugging it in will do the same for “capping it”.

Some HO2S "breath" through the back of the connector where the wires come out. Connectors are IP water and dust proof to a extent, more then of the rest of the car. Wrapping them does nothing and I wouldn't wrap the wires close to the Cats. Tape is really only to keep the harness together and keep them from getting torn.

Now mine does not have those two connectors nor does the 10r80 performance pack I have on the lift. I would have to do some digging to figure out what those are for.

Do the euro GPF’s have any form of electrical sensor connection ?
