Car 2019 5.0 10r80. Lund tune on E85, headers and intake.

Story: for the past month i will go to do pulls in the car, and after the pull i will let off the gas and the car will begin to slow down. once this happens, the oil pressure light will come on, and it will backfire light crazy. and its like the car goes into a limp mode. i will turn the car off, and back on and the light will be gone.

attempted fixes:
Fresh oil change 2 weeks ago (still does it even after the oil change.
NO oil leaks at all.
Cleaned MAF sensor

Why not try replacing with a new sensor?

So the car goes into a limp mode, but there are no codes. You have logs of it happening, and the tuner says everything looks good? How can that be? Hmmmm......

Take it seriously. Lack of oil pressure kills engines.

the GT has either a simple pressure switch or a pressure sensor and gauge (depending on the model).

Try replacing the sensor/switch - but I’m not sure I’d even drive the car until I’d done that and confirmed if I had a real issue or just a bad sensor. If you gave a legit low oil pressure condition, and you run it hard, you will be looking at replacing the motor real soon.

I'm pretty sure all gen 3 cars have an actual sensor as part of the bypass solenoid assembly, even if they don't have a gauge.

With that said if the bypass is acting up it should throw a code..

Yeah I know some base ā€˜15-17 cars only had a simple binary low pressure switch but they absolutely might be putting sensors in all the newer models.

Sounds like OP bought a new one to put in, so we’ll know soon.

No codes, and My tuner says Logs are good.

While I have not had this exact same situation, my car has also gone into limp mode with no codes or records of it occurring were found by my scanner or by my local shop scanning it either.

I would love to know if there is a place to find hidden codes.

Forscan shows hidden codes I think. I had an old DSP code in there for like 3 years.

Trying to research right now.

i do have the oil pressure gauge. its a PP1. the gauge still reads that's there is good oil pressure, just cant explain the limp mode/back firing
