Any GTs using oil, as in the need to top up between oil changes?

I still hate reading the dipstick.

Yea the dipstick position sucks. They really oughta move it. If the aftermarket could come up with an alternative I would gladly buy it. I haven't really noticed any, but I haven't been keeping close watch to be honest. Mostly because by the time I check the oil after a change (since i've had the dealer change it the last time) it's been a couple thousand miles. Not sure where they filled it to on the stick.

It's a good idea to check your dipstick after a dealer changes your oil. This past spring a Honda dealer overfilled my Honda by over a quart.

Mine consumed about a quart and a half before my first oil change at 7500. I'm now at 13500 and it's still at the middle of the dipstick. The rings prob just needed to break in. Most of the consumption occurred the first 4k

^ Your rings should be broken in by now rings usually seal with in the first 500 miles. I'm at 2,500 miles and used half a quart. I asked a Ford tech about the dipstick levels and he said full level is at the top the second hole which seems logical.

The top line is full when cold, and the top hole is full when hot. I checked mine when fully hot, and it was right at the tip hole, then checked it again the next morning when stone cold and it was right on the top line.

Mine will be changed in two weeks . Almost 1000 miles , but it hardly been driven. Took delivery in February.
