What's the earliest people change out the factory oil in their car? My EB i changed it at 500 miles. I like to get the original factory oil out early in case their is any metal shavings plus i like to switch to full synthetic oil.

I'm trading my EB to a GT in the next week or so. Just waiting for it to arrive at the dealership.

I've owned about 12 vehicles bought new in my lifetime. I always changed the oil and filter at 1,000 miles after reading that the oil filters do not remove the fine metal in the oil suspended during break-in. Sure enough, the drain pan oil after stirring it with a long handle screwdriver looked just like a dark version of aluminum paint. Abrasive or not, I do not want that oil circulating in my motors any longer than necessary.

After that first change and thereafter with 3,000 mile intervals, there was little or no metal in the drain pans.

Thanks for the answer. Even after switching to full synthetic i usually change oil and filter about 5000 miles. I could probably go 7500 miles but 5000 is good mileage for me for piece of mind.

Change your filter only at 1,000 miles, top oil off to full mark..Then do an oil and filter change around 5,000 miles.
