Greg: I can't tell if that's a complete rig or if you added the tall pan? I use the same, black catch can but you're absolutely correct, it's the height that matters, especially when you have the pressure of all that oil pushing it.his will control the oil flood, never spill a drop again

If you bought it as is, might you have a link?
Amazon has them or you can google them.Who sells the Fumoto set up for the GT 500 5.2 engine?
I got mine from:Who sells the Fumoto set up for the GT 500 5.2 engine?
For the moment, hold off, Greg as I have another question..I can measure the down spout & post if you like?
For the moment, hold off, Greg as I have another question..
How do you keep the funnel top from flopping over (when the first hard stream hits the side,) with just part of the spout in the oil opening?
OK, got it, Greg, and where did you get the funnel? I have to go out and check my drain pan to see if it's exactly like yours, I THINK it is. Just can't remember if it has a hole on the side or top.
MANY thanks, amigo! Easy peazy. :-) But I got a chuckle when I went to funnel link because it was for TWELVE of them but I FIRST looked at the PRICE! $122! <laughing> And then I saw the link at the top for just one. $23, a bit more reasonable. <grin>
The drain pan (from Wally World via Kamazonski..whodda thought, right?) FINALLY showed up, Greg and I've been waiting to cut the funnel until I first do the pan cutout...one_stop shopping love the web
This help? The drain pan (from Wally World via Kamazonski..whodda thought, right?) FINALLY showed up, Greg and I've been waiting to cut the funnel until I first do the pan cutout.
But for reference purposes, (measure twice..) can you tell me how much of the spout is remaining after the cut? (or how much you cut off?)
I'm trying to visualize a view from inside the pan and I'm seeing maybe an inch of funnel?
TIA, Greg.
As a FYI...I found a product that helps draw oil out of a concrete drive. The result is a white powder which of course can be removed. If the oil was permitted to set overly long, it may take numerous applications to meet your level of satisfaction. The product is: Pull-It-Out"Just a warning to any driveway warriors doing their first 5.0 oil change, that oil comes out FAST. My catch can is the type where it drain down from the top and the Mustangs mighty stream overwhelmed the little hole and made a MESS on my ep henry driveway.
Actually I installed that same fitting on my son's Ford Expedition. Love it. It comes in handy to avoid time consuming, awkwardness of taking the large under-panel off his vehicle each oil change. A word of caution however for the Mustang.Fumoto is above the belly pan. Blue clip is the safety lock. Just attach a hose, put it in your drain pan, remove the blue clip, lift the lever up out of it's locked position and rotate to open. It is as mess free as you can get. I have a black vinyl cap on the hose barb to keep everything squeaky clean.
