i had them. 275/35/20 square. they are a decent daily tire for a luxury vehicle with great treadlife but dont be looking to hook at lower speeds. i now have them only on the front with nitto r2s in the back

I was looking at the following wheel & tire package for my 2020 Mustang GT but I'm unfamiliar with the tire manufacturer:
https://lmr.com/item/WTK-188902HA/sve-mustang-sp2-wheel-tire-kit-19x10-black-ohtsu-15-19

Anybody have experience with Ohtsu tires? Also, interested in general comments on the above package. Thanks.
I have these tires and they are great for my daily driver. I will say I don’t have much to compare to but at the price point of these tires I would say they are decent. I am stock for exception of suspension parts and they hold pretty well on the twisties. I haven’t really experienced too much wheel spin. I don’t really do any digs so can’t speak on low speed grip. I’ve also had them for about 2 years now and they hold up well. I have contemplated switching over to some firehawks but at double the price I’m not sure if I can justify the price/value.

They're just okay. I think they're owned by Falken. For the price LMR charges to include them you can get something better from tire rack for a similar price.

Yup, they are basically rebranded Falken FK452’s

Yep. Got around 40k miles out of my last pair. Would’ve been more if I had rotated them side to side. I went with them because I’ve had good luck with them on my truck. I originally had 305/45/22 Falken on it and found the Ohtsu were the same tire but cheaper, I went with those. On my 2nd/3rd? set on the truck now getting around 40k+ miles a set.

I'm sure that something from the Michelin Pilot series would perform better but what would be some better performing options at a similar price point to these Ohtsu tires?

I use Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's. They ran me like $1200 for a set on tire rack last time I bought and are very good for the price. Not as sticky as a Pilot Sport 4S, but they last a pretty long time unless you're outright abusing them.

Conti ECS. Don't swap wheels just to buy junk tires on a car with this performance potential.

LMR must be offering these for the "I can afford wheel payments but not the tires" crowd. Ohtsu's are older model falkens, basically when falken retires a tire design it ends up as an ohtsu. They're an okay tire, I'd certainly trust it way ahead of any of the off brand chinese or indian made tires, but I'd never in a million years pick them to run on any of my cars.

I have a friend who loves running FP7000's on his enduro cars though.

I have a a square setup with these in 285/35/19 size. I decided to go with these because 99.9% of the time I drive pretty mellow and I'll never run 10/10ths on the street. The wear has been good and the traction has been as good as the BFG sport comp 2s I had on my older car.

Recently I did a HPDE with these. It was my first time on a track in a car. I raced motorcycles for years so I'm no stranger to a track. I ran 7, 20 minute sessions and I'll say I was surprised how hard I could push them. With that being said they would start to feel greasy at the end of the last few sessions. It was hard to put the power down with out the rear trying to step out and the front end felt like it wanted to push.

For the price I would not hesitate to run these on the street but if I do anymore HPDEs I will probably get another set of wheels with stickier tires. Here is the wear after 5 sessions.

I have heard that the Atturo AZ850 tires perform well and are the only other tire that comes to mind around that price point. Unfortunately I do not have any experience with them but reviews seem pretty good

I put hankook ventus v12's on 305-30/19 all the way around, cost $1325 before mounting and balancing. Good street tire so far, have not tried them at the track yet.
