The first part might be debatable lol...

As for it hanging on SWC commands, I've never had the problem.
I can guarantee the audio is NOT only coming out of the front speakers. I have my LOC on my rear speakers and have plenty of bass.

I was just gonna ask you if he sent you anything yet.
Yeah, I'm hating it for you guys, I'm excited for you all to get yours installed and bask in the ambiance of awesomeness that the Tesla Unit creates!

Even when using Spotify INSTALLED on the unit? Not bluetooth?
I can confirm that when using Spotify installed on the headunit, audio only comes out of the front speakers on the base models at least :(

That's what I thought was happening...
Think we can change this some how? I'd rather use the app on the device so I can see album art and all the coolness that goes along with having the App run native on the device

Hard to say, I think the apps are playing through system-controlled audio, not through the Launcher controlled audio. It would take some creative engineering.

I've been using Sporify straight from the unit almost from the day I got it in the car, and I honestly never noticed that it's only out the front.

I'm no audiophile, but it honestly doesn't bother me much. Sounded good to me before I realized it was only the fronts, and it continues to sound just as good as music playing through the rear speakers as well to me.

It would certainly be nice to figure out a way to change it, but I wouldn't let this stop you from playing Spority/Pandora/whatever directly on the unit unless you're picky and have a good ear about such things. For me the benefits by far outweigh the cons

I agree, it doesn't sound terrible, it's just not as "full" sounding as using Bluetooth. Most android devices only have 2 audio channels by default (Left and Right) which is likely why it sounds like that. Since it has been discovered that the red and white RCA's on the Main harness don't provide low level out, maybe they have something to do with the rear audio channels- it's hard to say. It's possible that the Spotify App can be modified somehow to play through all 4 channels, but not likely an easy task. I'll poke around the config files when I have a chance.

I wonder if a 3rd party EQ program would allow for setting up more than just a left and right stereo channel. We know a 3rd party EQ app didnt do anything for the Radio/BT/Media player. Having an EQ for the unit might just do the trick. Maybe someone has already tried it, and I missed it. I know I'll give it a try tonight.

The built in EQ changes my Bluetooth Audio settings...Yours doesn't?

The white and red RCA labels were identified as the front and side camera I thought, from Arris translating the labels. So they're video, vs being colored as audio.

The female ones, yes. Not the male ones.
