The built in EQ changes my Bluetooth Audio settings...Yours doesn't?

Yeah the built in EQ works for BT audio. I was thinking that maybe a 3rd party EQ may work for the apps (Spotify, pandora, etc).

Spotify has an EQ built in. The issue is in the way sound is processed in the unit as an app.

I know Spotify has its own EQ. I was wondering if we could find an EQ app that had a fader that would open up the rear speaker channels. I tried a couple 3rd party EQs that had surround toggles, the toggle wouldnt even move, so that obviously didnt work.

I did find that if you have the radio and Spotify running, the front speakers are dedicated to the app, while the rears are dedicated to the radio. Spotifys audio did change a little with the radios EQ being on.

For a few days, I have pretty much lived in my car trying to get this unit to give up the ghost on a recovery mode. At this point, I've thrown in the towel, because if I spend much more time out here, my wife is gonna ensure that I actually DO live in my car...

Any chance you, or anyone else that has their uninstalled unit sitting around can send me a close up picture of the black 16-pin wiring harness, on the hose side? The one with the small purple plug attached to it, I need a good, clear shot of those wires where they go into that connector to confirm my wiring theory.

No sweat, I have all day. Just a good shot of where the cables are actually going into the smaller black plug, the backside of it, preferably with the notched section of the plug in the top of the picture. (If that makes sense)

I can confirm that when using Spotify installed on the headunit, audio only comes out of the front speakers on the base models at least :(

This is BS, I run the app completely on my unit and have 100% bass coming off the rear speakers.

Now, I do have to crank the volume and the EQ really doesn't mess with it.
