Silver on silver. Square set up 18x11s with 305 NT01s, 3" ARP studs, and 25mm spacers. Shaved 3 seconds off my dry lap time with square 285/19 MPS4S and the track was wet ha.

Love those Ingot Silver S550s!!! Especially with the silver wheels. I have the Silver PP wheels on mine, but I am looking at these Apex as a replacement. Have you had any issues with your spacers?

no issues with the spacers. they're 25mm hubcentric spacers from steeda. Banged their studs out with a 4lb sledge and slid them on my 3" arp studs.

also waiting on the SM10 19x11s, do these wheels have little pockets on the back side to use 25mm spacers with integrated studs, or would i need to get an extended set?

Why would u want spacers with a proper offset wheel like the SM10 ?
Also, extended studs are for slip on spacers not bolt ins like you’re describing.

yeah i know, i'm asking because stock studs will poke slightly if you use the spacers with integrated studs

OEM wheels hvae pockets that will clear these, not sure of the SM10s will.

You need a spacer if you want a rotatable 19x11 square fitment. you can get a 19x11 low offset but wont be able to swap them front to rear.

i dont mind getting extended studs, would rather just buy the spacers with the studs if i could avoid it.

haha no worries! hopefully apex team can see this and let me know. can't wait for my set!
Sorry fellas, we were at SEMA last week. The SM-10 does not have the deep pockets on the backside of the wheel. Regardless, I highly encourage anyone who is going to use spacers for a rotatable 11" fitment to purchase extended studs and use slip on spacers.

Question about the new SM-10 wheels. Do the 19x11" wheels bolt onto stock length wheel studs in the rear ok? I've seen reports that slightly extended studs are recommended for previous Apex wheel designs on our cars because the wheels are a little thicker in the lug nut area that other wheels. This car sees lots of autox and track time, so if the studs are a weak point I want to correct it.

I'm already planning 3" ARP studs for the front with 25mm spacers, but the rear hubs need to come off this week to put in some new rear LCA bearings anyway, so if I need to press in new studs, this would be a good time.

Here you go: https://www.apexraceparts.com/shop-by-vehicle/ford/s550-mustang/arp-m14x1-5mm-s550-stud-kit.html

Multiple users have reported being able to pound the factory studs out of the spindle with a mallet and then pulling them through with an old lug nut threaded on backward. That's about as backyard as it gets but it seems to work. I would at least recommend picking this up as it makes installing the new ones much easier and smoother, less chance of galling up threads: https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-22800-Wheel-Stud-Installer/dp/B000ETUD22

The nicest way is certainly removing the hub and having each stud pressed out, but I can't say that's necessary.

I have heard this as well, not sure who is saying it. Our wheels do have a lot of material in key areas for increased strength but they are 100% compatible with OE wheel studs in the rear for both the S197 and S550 chassis. Factory S550 studs seem pretty stout so I wouldn't worry about it too much as there are enough threads for proper engagement. The 3" ARP studs out back aren't the worst idea ever, so it's really up to you.

Ok, I'll give it a shot with the stock studs. I read on one vendor site that sells 1/2" longer ARP studs that "racing wheels" might need longer than stock studs but I don't think Apex wheels were mentioned by name.

sorry to ask so many but one last question, 3'' or 3.5'' for a 25mm in the front? using performance pack struts, so guessing 25mm is required for clearance
