What is a better option? I have searched through these forums and many Google searches and the consensus has been the OEM pads are very good, some recommend the power stop and then others state they do not feel right. I know my pads work on every stop and have lasted a long time.
I've run/will run Powerstops again! Don't remember which ones. I've put them on 1 camaro, and 5 trucks with ALL of them feeling and lasting longer than OEM. I've also never got anything fake from Rockauto or Amazon. But, would NEVER buy anything from fleabay!

I've used the Z-26's before and the only thing I liked better about them was the fact they didn't dust. Other than that they sucked when pushed at all.

Not interested in aftermarket, thanks
I know your not interested in aftermarket but if your car is a pp1 hawk 5.0 pads are much better than oem. Less brake dust, better stopping power and longer life. Oem isn't always the best option.

I've used Hawk pads before but not the 5.0. Do they eat rotors like the race pads?

This is the sentiment I get some say they really like the Power stop pads and others keep saying they don't stop well and the reality is for us, these cars need to stop on a dime and with my OEM pads they do just that. I don't see many complaints about the factory breaks not stopping when it really matters.

My rotors lasted about 85k miles. I upgraded around 40k miles and used them for another 45k miles before swapping rotors and pads. They were still in spec but low enough I wasn't going to try to turn them, especially the way I drive. No hard baking under normal circumstances but I do a lot of hard pulls and have to bring the speed back down quick. You know, down here in Mexico lol. I went z23 pads this time and I'm not impressed at all. I'll swap back to hawk when they're done. Z23s aren't bad but no where near the bite of the hawk 5.0s. They are sluggish enough going from 150 to 80 feels like you have brake fade everytime.

Its odd seems like a lot of Vette owners like the Power Stop brand but here not so much. Just an observation from watching the old Corvettes 918 You tube channel and reading some forum posts in the Corvette forum.

If vendors/ youtube tell enough people things are great most people will just drink the cool aid without questioning it!

Most people are not enthusiasts and just want something that works. The Z-26's work but they are not as good at stopping as the stock pads.

What the 26's are good at is not making dust. So if their garage queen Vette has clean wheels and stops, they are happy.

Yes agreed especially the garage queen part, I was seriously considering a C7 z51 or z06 but the dealer wanted to talk numbers before me ever test driving the car and that turned me way off.

Good afternoon, where are you guys getting your brake pads from? I plan to replace mine and I am at 80,000 miles on the originals. I have contacted several online Ford parts dealers and they are on back order with no ETA. The local dealers want $125 so that is an option just looking for better pricing but not sure they can get them either. Part # is FR3Z-2001-Q. I am not interested in aftermarket. Thanks, Rich
Power Stop.

Have we finally moved to aftermarket? If so, gloc GS-1, and we have OP Mustang, a site sponsor, that sells them.

Another no on the Z26 or whatever they are called.
