Good afternoon, where are you guys getting your brake pads from? I plan to replace mine and I am at 80,000 miles on the originals. I have contacted several online Ford parts dealers and they are on back order with no ETA. The local dealers want $125 so that is an option just looking for better pricing but not sure they can get them either. Part # is FR3Z-2001-Q. I am not interested in aftermarket. Thanks, Rich

Stay away from the powerstop pads if you want stock type stopping. They give up a lot of initial bite and don't take heat as well as the stock pads.

I'd try Rock Auto

lol call them and see for yourself out of stock as I stated why would I post this if they are available? This is the consistent response plus one of the Ford dealers cancelled my order.

Thank you for reaching out regarding this item. Unfortunately, the part requested is on nationwide backorder and the manufacturer has not provided us with a firm ETA. We would not be able to provide this item in a timely fashion so any order placed for the product would result in cancellation and a full refund. Our apologies for this inconvenience

Have you tried the two Ford dealers that are fourm sponsors? It may very well get the same response but it's worth a PM.

I am getting leary of buying parts from places like Rock Auto but I have never had any issues buying from them. The last post I did about spark plugs several in this forum stated not to buy parts from Rock Auto, aftermarket parts stores, and sites like eBay and Amazon. I bought plugs for my son's car from eBay and they were fake.

Not sure if this might be related, but one of the major brake pad plants moved to mexico or something like that and have not been updating their retailers reliably. So their pads are essentially not available yet and no one seems to know when they will be

I see now that makes sense but I need new pads lol. I may break down and buy some aftermarket but not really excited about that. The OEMs have been great and lasted a long time.
