Observable difference between 21-22 gen 3 motor for sc kits

I’m asking because I’ve purchased a 22 5.0 and have found amazing deals on used superchargers yet American muscle says they won’t fit my 22 . What is the difference and is it something I could retrofit and still come out on top , specifically referencing roush stage 2 kit

The only possible difference could be tuning. If whoever your using to tune the car is fine with a 2022, you'll be fine.

I know maf is places slightly different but with a new intake it wouldn’t matter but the price difference is 8399 to 8799 so when I can buy a 18-21 used kit for 5 grand I want to jump on that but it’sa rush for it to not fit

The reason you see such good deals on used Roush kits are because they are the least desirable and least powerful supercharger option for your car. Literally any other supercharger is better.

I just install Gen5 Whipple on my 22 the difference is in the tuning.

Ok, what supercharger do you think Roush outperforms? Whipple? Edelbrock? VMP Odin? Magnuson? Haropp? Procharger? Vortech? Paxton? ESS? The only things it’s faster to; is heat soak.

If you can't put down 650, it's pointless to have 700 or 800. And for a used system that pricing is rich. Should be half price or rather less of new.

Actually, both my S550’s have Whipple’s.

Can only speak to my experience. Been to the strip a number of times with the Roush supercharger and never had heat soak, though I have their cooling kit also.

I know. I was referring to Mr Met. It was a guess but he confirmed in post above.

If your not in a carb compliant state, the kit will work without issue and will just need a custom tune.

The difference between the 18-21 vs the 22 is the addition of the HC trap within the airbox.

Ok so it’s with compliance I’m in South Carolina we don’t have inspections of any type this is good to know maybe I can find a deal then
