Next suspension mod? Vertical links.

So I've got the itch for my next suspension mod. So far I have the cradle lockout kit, steeda alignment kit, bmr diff bushing insert kit and SP080 Springs. So my next step is vertical links.

I really don't want to add anymore NVH to my car (diff bushing inserts and trans mounted shifter). I've seen mixed reviews on spherical bushing links not adding any and some adding to it. Then the issues with the derlin links causing issues with other components. I really want to spring for the spherical bearing links. So what's everyone's input?


I may say screw it and get the front Subframe support kit lol.

Any other significant mod may give more NVH. If you're happy with how it drives - leave it alone.

In terms of improving handling - I'd recommend LCA bearing and toe knuckle bearing. But that will add NVH particularly the LCA bearing. I know some say it doesn't but IME it definitely does.

I would say leave it alone. You've already got some good parts and probably don't need anything else.

BlueMustang is spot on. I had no added NVH from spherical vertical links, but it could be a different experience depending on the car and the driver. The toe knuckle and lca bearing definitely added NVH. It is a drastic difference with those bearings so stay away from them if you don't want any additional NVH.

I installed BMR spherical vertical links and got no NVH.
You might want to look at the Steeda upper shock mounts.
For me they smoothed out the ride.

Yes, I did the BMR spherical vertical links. I'd read a bunch on here and the general consensus was the vertical links with Delrin bearings were prone to more noise. With all the suspension mods in my sig, only the rlca and toe knuckle bearings added appreciable noise. The other mods stiffened up the ride some, but in a good way.

The cradle lockout was my favorite suspension mod so far.


I think I might pick up the spherical vertical links.

I didn't get any significant NVH increase with the spherical BMRs. You will be happy with them and the install was ridiculously easy and quick.

Vertical links shouldn't add too much NVH. From what I've heard they don't do as much for this car as some other suspension mods. Cradle lockout, LCA bearing, toe bearing - those are mods that will make a noticeable difference. But also adds NVH. I'm sure the vertical links do add some benefit but I'd be willing to bet it's less significant, maybe not even enough to tell.

LCA bearing + toe bearing + cradle lockout = your car will be on rails around corners. You can step away in a turn with confidence. Makes handing very predictable at the limit as it all limits geometry change under hard throttle and cornering. But it will come at a price.

I have BMRs double spherical vertical links and they make no noise but tightened up the rear end. BMRs CB006 front subframe brace is also an awesome piece but will not fit on my V6. Can't go wrong doing either one but you'll probably see a more noticible improvement from the front subframe brace IMO

Yes, the Ford track suspension kit comes with toe links (same as on performance pack) and the toe knuckle bearings. You'll have to press out the bushing currently on the knuckle and press in the the new ones. It should be pretty doable with a ball joint press and only requires removing the rear wheels to access the toe links and the bushing.

Since you have a PP, I'm willing to bet you will have wheel hop. I'm pretty sure the Vert links will help you a heck of a lot more than the front brace. I'm not downing the CB006 at all, it's just a fact that the rear on these cars need a lot more help than the front. I've done pretty much everything you can do to the rear suspension and it has transformed the car. It is where the most improvement can be found.

from what i read in this forum, you want to get spherical bushings if you want to avoid NVH. Only 2 companies offer those BMR and J&M.
