Don't forget that it's taking power to spin that blower now.
The car is basically revving itself. It ignores most of my throttle inputs, especially when it is at cruising speed. I want to emphasize that I have not gone above 25 percent throttle since I put the blower on. The car is borderline dangerous in its current state.

Just please reach behind the blower, swap the IAT sensor plug to the other IMRC plug (even if you think its right), open the flare tool, open your tune file (itll take you right to the saved tune), then go to diagnostics and clear your codes, then go to configuration tab and top right is the switch to do a crank relearn.

Until you've done that, nothing you are posting matters. all symptoms of having not done a crank relearn.

There's only one 3 pin connector back there. Like I said before, there's two, two pin connectors and one, three pin connector. The IAT2 sensor cable has three pins.

That is wrong, there are 2 two pin and 2 three pin. If you don't see the second one check harder.

I just did this install a week ago and had the same P0098 code from plugging the sensor harness into the driver side 3 pin connector. I switched it to the passenger side one and now code gone and works perfect.

You are correct, there's two of each. The stock manifold reflects that. I can see the second one, carefully located under the heater hose and other crap on the drivers side. I am not sure how I'm going to get to it, but it sounds like I need to switch the cables around. Do you know that the other connector is for?

There are 4 total connectors, 2 are IMRC valve position sensors (3 pin, white connectors) and the other 2 (blue connectors) are the actual power wires to control the IMRC valves.

you will only use the passenger side 3 pin (white connector) and zip tie/ tape up and not use the other 3. The Whipple doesn't have the valves and the Whipple tune disables everything to do with them. They piggy back off the IMRC position harness and instead use it to monitor the intake temps post blower, which you make the connection with their harness between the new intake sensor installed in the lower manifold and the passenger side IMRC valve connector.

Thanks. The second one (the one that has eluded me so far) appears to be plugged into something, but it's really tight so I can't be sure. I'll take another look at it this evening.

Btw, I think Whipple's tune goes into a limp mode when there's a CEL. That could be part of your issue, too. I bet once you swap the connectors and clear the light, all things will be resolved

Do Whipple's instructions not make it clear on the proper connections here? Sure seems like it.

Whipple's instructions state the wire colors that are on the proper connector. It is very clear in the install manual, it is just difficult to see and reach due to the location behind the manifold. Much easier to make sure it's right when there isn't a manifold in the way.

The instructions do indeed specify the colors. I just didn't see the second connector, so it never processed that I needed to verify the colors. The manual specifies that for "competition kits" that one blue IMRC is used for the intercooler pump and one white IMRC is used for the IST2 sensor, leaving one white and one blue unused. This isn't a competition kit, though, so I want to make sure. If this is the case, I have no idea what my other white connector is plugged into right now.

I think you may have misread. The complete kit uses the two connectors. The competition kit doesn't use any of the 4 connectors.

Alright, I can live with that. Fingers crossed I can get that connector out tonight...

She works! I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the adaptive cruise control thing but that's secondary to the car running correctly. I swapped the connectors, cleared the code, and all the other problems went away. Thanks for the help, guys!
