Got an update to share, had the car towed to the shop on a flatbed. Tow Truck driver unloads it without first checking if the car was in gear or emergency brake on, and well she rolled into the shop and slammed into the lift.

The car appears to have only cosmetic damage, but I won't know until further inspection.

ADDING INSULT TO INJURY - 2020 is out for blood I'm telling you!

OH MAN It just got worse too!

I broke a timing chain it turns out! WTF? I BARELY even got into it, never past 6KRPM and when it failed I was a 2Krpm going down a hill?

Yep, my luck has been the worst this year, this has really been a 123 Punch.

All I can figure is it was a crap component, Damn.....

Any suggestions for a new longblock? Something that can take any sort of abuse?

I'm trying to figure if any positives can come with this nightmare......

I figured that was the issue, that really sucks. At least you have an excuse to do a mild build before putting it back though.

Maybe there was an issue with the installation? Timing chain tensioner not installed properly?

Dear God, but do you think the mechanic will own up to it? Probably not. He was insinuating I might have over revved it, which I hadn't. Did I make a few pulls into the upper RPM range? Yes, but never in first or second gear, and not above redline, I mean for craps sake they're supposed to handle it with a good tune, right?

I will say this, when it was tuned it was with Octane Booster, and when this happened it was on the first tank of regular 93 but that can't have anything to do with it (I wouldn't think).

You would have hit the rev limiter, it shouldn't have over-revved, unless you shifted from 3rd to 2nd (or the like) at high rpm. I've had my 2016 to 7500 with no issues. At this point it would probably be hard to prove it was an installation error. That's why I prefer to do my own work, at least if it breaks, its my fault. Lol

Yea, I know.... It could have been anything really, might have even happened without the installations. I'm being told 2018's+ are hit or miss with FI applications. Some have no issues, while others do.

Any Engine Companies currently offering a warranty on boosted applications?

I certainly have some homework in my future. Where I live, the Mustang Season is just about over anyway, so I have some time to think about it. It would be nice to have it sorted out for next year though before it goes into winter storage.
