New to DFW

Hey guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here on the forum, My name is Jeremy and I moved to DFW area a little over a year ago! I have been to a couple meets and have met a couple people but looking forward to meeting more!

I am also new to the Mustang Club but not new to cars! Some of my previous cars have been a ~500 hp 2014 Ford Taurus SHO, ~660 hp Mitsubishi Evo, multiple Eclipses and i also have a 2015 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5 Twin Turbo

For the past year I was an Internet Sales Manager at Sam Pack's 5 Star Ford but just recently I moved over to Earth MotorCars to play out a childhood dream and get to play with Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Masarati's, etc!! :cheers: I am also a professional Car Buyer, so if anyone is looking for ANYTHING, I can hook you up!!

Where are the good meets at? Are there any good Cruises?

Welcome to the group, [MENTION=27032]dounvmj[/MENTION] Jeremy. Come on out to the monthly meet next Saturday, November 19. Our last cruise was in August, but I have a few other routes planned. It's about time to start talking about the next Hill Country cruise in the spring, too. (That was a BLAST!)

For those of you that were discussing the NFM meet, the night meets had an astonishing turnout. However, they switched the meets to 7 am on the second Sunday. That's WAAAYYY early for my blood, but I'm betting they still have a great turnout. Did anyone actually make it in October? That was the first AM meet.

Then you had more fun than most of us that went to the EVM show this Sunday morning. A couple cool cars there but not a great turnout and not very many interesting rides out there. We left around 9am to do a couple blasts in Mexico.

I'm working on a few upcoming cruises (including possibly next weekend), and some of the other local S550 owners do cruises almost every Sunday (not sure if they're on the forum). The monthly DFW M6G meet is just a lunch meet where we talk cars and BS, and do some planning for future events, track days, cruises, etc. We reached a max attendance of about 45 S550s a few months ago, but attendance has tapered off since. We hold the meet on the third Saturday each month at 11:00 am at the Red Robin in Grapevine. The criteria for the meet are: 1) show up, 2) bring your S550 (optional, but strongly preferred), 3) tell your S550-driving friends.

In case you're not being facetious (and for anyone else legitimately curious), the ECM (Endless Car Movement) meet takes place on the second Sunday every month at Nebraska Furniture Mart in The Colony. The meet grew to a maximum size of about 2,200 cars a few months ago, but has decreased in size since (although there were still 1,000+ cars at the last one I attended). The earlier meets included a number of exotics and customized cars, but the later meets have become more mundane. They switched the hours last month from 7pm to 7am, which likely had a negative effect on attendance. I'll start going again if and when they move it back to 7pm.

Yes, I am serious about a Saturday day road trip somewhere. I used to belong to the Houston BMW Club when I had my M3. It was a lot of fun. We drove all over, then half way we stopped at a hill country restaurant, drove more, then Blue Bell ice cream creamery in Brenham, then we would scatter and go home. Pretty nice actually.

So I was looking to find something of that nature. I just moved to Grapevine 2 years ago and have been concentrating on my new job, so now I am ready to have more fun. It would be nice to find something in my area, but it doesn't have to be.
