I downloaded version 18 months ago and I just got 19. So I am not sure if there is just one free copy. When I open zip file sync32 there is a folder 19Q1_NA_Post-3.2_2ndRelease there. So I am thinking it is 19.

I got the same file 2 days ago. Unfortunately I got the same error message that many others have received when I tried to install it.I downloaded version 18 months ago and I just got 19. View attachment 485515I received the email from ford to check my vin and ESN for an update for the map.
It says my esn is invalid? (tried multiple times, double checked, it was correct)
Weird, I have Sirius and they use the same esn and it works fine for them.
Yes
I'm about to do the same thing. How is 3.4 over 3.3?I got fed up and just ended up doing Cyan. The stock unit software was clearly corrupt. Cyan installed everything with no prob. Ford / Alom needs to give vehicle owners software to re-format their Sync units in case they do become corrupt which is HIGHLY likely given cars will shut off if you don't watch them during the update. Ford and Alom should be ashamed of how disgraceful their technology is. They don't have basic stuff such as public release notes or re-imaging software to start fresh.
Anyway, I'm now on the latest 3.4 with the latest maps thanks to Cyan.
Sucks but it is a known issue. You need to call them.
You had to buy the USB?I received the USB today. It's raining, so I will until tomorrow and take it for a drive while it "attempts" to install.
I decided against going to 3.4 because of warranty concerns. I also plan on keeping my car for a long time. I'm concerned about Cyanlabs going out of business and leaving a bunch of cars with no way to update their systems or fix them if they break. For differences, check their site. 3.3 to 3.4 is minimal. As many have said, the process is simple and although a few have had issues many have not. Really depends on how much of a gambler you are.I'm about to do the same thing. How is 3.4 over 3.3?
Looks more modern, seems a bit quicker.I'm about to do the same thing. How is 3.4 over 3.3?
Well since I can't go to vegas and blow thousands this is the most fun gambling I've done in a while.I decided against going to 3.4 because of warranty concerns. One other thing to keep in mind. Sync 3 is the heart of your infotainment system. Ford can decline a warranty claim for any problem encountered, HVAC, phone, radio, etc. I've done enough jailbreaking to know how serious this could be. Tossing a bricked cellphone is one thing, I'm guessing Sync would be something else.

Funny, I used my free update back in February. I also downloaded the 1.19 maps for free. Things that make you go Hummmmmm!Yes, I used my free update about three weeks ago. The USB with the map update cost $40
