I'm from the UK part of the forum, I don't venture out of there much.Don't floor it while turning or generally showboat around and you'll be fine. You've driven manual your whole life, which as a general rule makes you an above average driver. Driving stick forces you to engage with the road and your surroundings.
This post made me laugh. Coming from a country where 90% of drivers drive manuals I can assure you that driving stick does not ensure above average driving or engagement.



To the OP... Drive carefully, get a feel for you new ride and you'll be fine
