again pt does not effect the dash. pp dash is a dark metal spun looking thing. non pp is brushed and base is like a wanna be cf.

Another PP with PT chiming in, I have 2 gauges.

Don't worry.

I am the one who originally brought this up a couple weeks ago and would feel much better seeing someone's 16 with pp and premier trim in their driveway. The dealer photos didn't show the seats and I wish they did. They have a little different stitching on the build and price site. I also wonder if that is truly a 16....maybe if there were pics of the turn signals in the hood vents it would be a little easier to believe. Not trying to add to your stress but I am in the same boat have the same questions. Misery loves company. Lol:headbonk:
It's definitely a '16 you can see Sync 3 in the photos. And there is a pic of the seats...it's a premier. No worries.

I just built an ecoboost on the ford site. If you add the pp you get the guages. If you then add the premium trim you can watch the gauges disappear on the interior picture on the site.

I wanted the premium red line leather but the dealer told me I couldn't get it, now I glad they told me that.

It's apparently just a bug in the configurator, I asked about it in my first post/intro :)

From my thread, here's a '16 GT convertible, with the PP (confirming it's a MY2016), and you can clearly see the PP gauges and the Redline interior (which is fantastic!)

If you configure this exact same car on Ford.com, when you add the Redline, the dash changes to the shinier finish with 3 vents (vs. 2 + gauges).

Same car figured on Ford.com(note the PP package selected, shown with the proper wheels, but with the Redline interior, the dash is not correct):

Great info! I feel better about that then.

Can you get the premier trim with the Recaro seat option? Whenever I select the Recaro option the program deletes the premier trim.

I can confirm on my 2016 GT which has the PP and Premier trim I do most definitely have the PP trim and gauges. That would have been a deal breaker for me too, didn't even notice it on the website

Hoping someone the has received their car can help clarify for me. I ordered a ecoboost premium with performance package and the premier trim. Someone had pointed out that when doing the build and price on Ford; adding the performance package will change the instrument panel to the gauges/vents. When you add the premier trim, the dash changes back. Probably the biggest reason that I got the performance package was for the dash.
I figured it must be a computer glitch, but I sent an email to Ford, and this was the response that I received:

Dear Mr. Hoolan,

Thank you for contacting us. The Performance Package for the 2016 EcoBoost Premium Mustang has a unique instrumental panel; however, the Premium Color Accent Group when selected changes the instrumental panel back to the standard instrumental panel. The decision to offer certain features on certain models is based on our extensive market research and feedback from dealers and customers. I will pass along your feedback on this matter.

If you have any further questions regarding the 2016 Mustang EcoBoost Premium, our Marketing Program Headquarters is here to help. You can send us a reply to this e-mail or give us a call. Our number is 1-800-334-4375 and we are available Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET. When you call, we can also send you a new vehicle brochure, quote current incentives and schedule a demonstration drive at a time and dealership of your choice.

Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company.

Sincerely,

Tara-Kay

I'm really freaked out now because I want the performance package dash, I'd be willing to delete the premier trim to get the dash, but the car is scheduled for build.

Do any of you have a performance package with premier trim and can report on what dash it came with?

Thanks!
Unfortunately Ford Marketing doesn't know much at all about their cars.

The PP trumps all other things. You'll get your PP dash.

The premiere trim has nothing to do with the dash, just the seats and doors.

Is Redline Interior the same as premier trim? I have PP with Redline and gauges
Yeah, at least for the GT convertible, there's 3 Leather trims: Ceramic, Dark Saddle and Ebony, then 3 Premier trims which include Yellow Jacket, Redline and Ebony (again, but, I guess more better black :D), then one Leather/Miko option which is like a suede (looks pretty sweet, it's red stitched, and kind of black two-tone ... but apparently you can't get with the GTPP ...)

Super nice ride BTW!

Totally off topic (since I was gyrating with the configurator), Yellow Jacket with a Shadow Black exterior is pretty slick, would look excellent with some PC'ed yellow calipers.

im actually afraid to add the premier option bc of everything I have read in regards to dash bubbling up. I have no intensions of buying an extended warranty and my luck the dash would bubble after the factory one expired

The premier option ($395) has nothing to do with the dash even though they say it does.

The Premium vs Base is what changes the dash.

I (as many others) have the performance package with the premier trim (Redline)

there are people that even got the 50 years package with the PP and it still had the engine turn PP dash

Thank you all for the confirmation, I feel confident that my dash will be correct.
