Stupid phone voice to text messed it up. It actually typed out “OEM” fine at first but I guess it changed it afterwards. Anyways, I know rock auto has them cheaper, I was just saying that there’s no reason to get anything besides OEM when it comes to sensors like that.
No one has tested it as far as I can tell but I’m going to go ahead and say that the claim is BS. There’s really no way to base it on the physical sensor promoting airflow as the stock one isn’t even a restriction at all. Plus, the only way changing a maf sensor would give you a power increase is if the prior unit was reading incorrectly to begin with.
Or if the new one were reading incorrectly on purpose, in order to trick the ECU into injecting more fuel.
I could see that being a thing for factory calibrations since Ford is fairly conservative bone stock. But like you said, I wouldn’t want that either. Much safer just to get an actual tune with proper maf scaling
I recently had to change out my MAF sensor I just bought the ford oem part, below is the link to the one i got. It took like a week and a half to get to me, decent price, and it works just like new.
