Weight diff has been posted on FB. I don’t recall the exact number but want to say 18lbs?

Anyone have any idea what the weight differences are between the Holley low-rise and the CJ? I can't find a weight for the Holley. I imagine it is significant in regard to "its heavier" but I'm not expecting anything extreme.

Also, anyone use one of these?
Is that plenum cover specific to the Ford intakes? The LS cover is not the same as I understand it.

I don't do the facebooks. But thank you for responding :)

I'm not really sure actually. I would think from a tooling perspective, they would prefer to keep things as similar as possible and make the absolute necessary changes to be able to connect to the appropriate engine. That being said, I wouldn't find it surprising if parts are interchangeable.

I believe it has been stated that the existing LS-based sandwich intercoolers will not bolt to the Ford versions of these intakes. That would make me think the lid is not the same.

I just emailed Performance Designs and they stated that it fits all models. So now I'm double curious about the intercoolers. When they mentioned the intercooler part because moving the intercooler to intake versus the front of the engine is interesting.

I’m interested in this intake and what it will do with boost, how it holds up over 7k rpm’s and how much heat it will hold being cast?

There are a couple of dyno charts floating around. It holds RPM longer than the CJ.

Boost? It is cast aluminum VS plastic.

The air shouldn't be in the manifold long enough to absorb any significant amount of heat.

I did see the dyno from 1320 junkie and it holding longer than the others tested. Not worried about it holding the boost, more the mannerisms of how it reacts with boost vs the others.

The 1320 dyno is vastly different from everything else that's out there and he made it look terrible and immediately reminds the viewer that he does his special Boss manifold work. Not a great look for him when all the other 3rd party data suggests otherwise.

I have the low-ram. I tried to weigh all the net-net (removed factory fuel lines, replaced with Hollley rails, fittings required. I have it down as a 15.5 pound net gain.

What rails did you use?

It comes with Holley rails specific to the intake.
Sorry miss read what you wrote. Thought you said you got rid of the Holley rails. I’m not a fan of those rails I like my Radium’s better but doubt they could be used.

I might try my hands at a comparison. I want to go from my current ported CJ to a Hi Ram with no other changes. I have a dyno 10 min away so we'll see if I can make it happen.
