everyone gets the GEN 3 intake manifold and usually gets it ported. We all seen that it does good up against other manifolds, but they always put the ported 18 up against stock manifolds so how does a ported GT 350 measurement or a ported stock manifold. I don't think I've ever seen a Dyno pull with a ported stock 15-17 manifold

n/a the best manifold for a lightly modded car is going to be a gen 3, porting will add a little but not more than probobly 10-15 hp

If you are trying to do max effort n/a the cobra jet is your huckleberry. However, for all the power you will gain up top you will lose alot down low, most people doing builds with a cj opt for cams and head upgrades as well as a converter if auto trans.

Ported 18+ manifolds provide the most power gains out of all the manifolds. However the new Cobra Jet looks promising. I think that intake is going to be the new top dog keep an eye out for numbers. We sell the 18+ manifolds ported and non-ported and the new cobra jet intakes here at www.lethalperformance.com!

Where does the GT350 intake that comes on the M1 stack up?

What about for a centri SC setup? Would ported 18+ still be a good option or are the returns diminished at that point.

has anyone posted any results from a ported gt350 intake?? compared to the g3 ported intake? just curious cuz I really only see the G3 intake being ported as a popular swap around here or skip straight to the CJ

I believe 1320Junkie and Air Flow Solutions both suggest going with a ported GT350/Bulliitt manifold for Gen3 cars.

I would like to see some dyno data on a Gen 3 ported GT350 intake manifold too. I am right on the fence about doing this to my Bullitt IM, (which is currently off the car), as we speak. I talked to Wilson Manifolds about doing the work and they told me this:

Adrian,

You can send us your manifold and we can port it for $550.00. You can expect 10-15HP on a ported composite manifold. We offer a Gen 3 Coyote as well. We would not need the TB or plate. It is not a CNC port job, more by hand and other machines.

what about for a g2 tho??
If you got to 1320Junkie Instagram, he has a lengthy explanation of what’s best for gen1, gen2, and gen3. It’s pinned so it’s at the top of his posts. Lots of good info.

I’m gonna check out 1320Junkie’s Instagram and see what the skinny is on these ported intakes. $550 is a lot of coin for 10-15 hp, but I guess every little bit adds up. A retune will also be required, so I would be into it for $550 (port work, plus shipping) and $150 (for Lund to make all new maps for me).

That’s where I get to questioning whether it would even be cost effective to port or pick up that extra 15 hp by installing an electric water pump for about the same or slightly less money.

What do you recommend for Gen3 cars if porting the stock intake doesn't yield much power on mild combos?

GT350 manifold and GT350/Bullitt TB is your go to.

1320 Junkie

According to 1320 the GT350/Bullitt manifold is better than the ported 18.

the truck manifold and 15-17 give a lot more torque down low but fall off early. so what about porting them? will it make a difference ?

I wouldn't bother with the gen 1 or 2 GT manifold but I'd like to try the gen 3 truck ported. Stock it matches the HP and RPM of the gen 2 GT and gains about 40 peak torque.

that's what i'm thinking. now if porting it could gain some top end it might be worth doing
